It had been a week since my decided to change packs and it took a lot to convince the Alpha to let me leave but in the end I convinced him. This is the day I leave and the Alpha has already relinquished me of the pack link so there are no worries about breaking it on the go and confusing a load of pack members.
"See you Cara." I said grabbing my box from my desk and carrying it out of the door.
I instantly placed the box down and let Cara pull me into one last hug before sighing.
"I've got to go now." I muttered as we pulled away with matching damp shoulders.
"Yeah, I hope I see you again and here." she said pulling a scrap of paper out of her back pocket and handing it to me. "It's my number since I never gave it to you." She shrugged. I just sighed and picked up my box.
"See you around." I muttered and turned around.
When I finally got back to my house outside the borders of the pack I sighed. I had now officially decided to leave that pack making Cara the packs Zeta!
"Hey." Cameron smiled as he walked through the door to my house and sat down on the sofa next to me.
"Hi." I smiled meekly.
I huffed and he let out a small sigh. "Are you worried they won't accept you?" he asked and I gave him a small nod.
300 years ago I used to live with my parents and brother... yeah, I did have a brother so don't judge. One day, out of the blue, they went missing in the woods where some rouges had been spotted. They were out looking for me because I had thrown a tantrum and ran off. If I had stayed they wouldn't have left to go search for me, they wouldn't be missing still. I blame myself, no one else does... but I do. I was 600 I should have known better than to run off... my brother was 12!
"They won't even know about it." He sighed. "It's fine... if you want to tell them, go ahead but they won't blame you." He said.
"How do you know?" I asked and he gave me a small smile.
"Because I know the pack I live in and I spoke to Alpha Jaydon today." He said cracking a smile as he turned around to face me. "Come on, let's get this stuff out of here." he said picking up some of the boxes that were scattered across the floor and carrying it to the door.
"Yeah..." I sighed and piled up two boxes in my arms before carrying them out.
After we'd packed up and moved out I climbed into Cameron's truck and we took off on the way to his house.
"You okay?" he asked me and I gave him a small smile.
"Yeah, I'm just worried that if I decide to join the hospital in your pack that they would treat me like an amateur in my favourite occupancy." I sighed.
"No, I have contacted Alpha Jaydon and he gave you position of pack Zeta because of your experience but you will be sharing it because of how common it is that you end up going away on trips to help other packs." He explained and I almost hugged him bit restrained myself as he was driving.
"Thank you... so, so, so, so much!" I cried (not literally) and slouched back into the seat with a huge grin on my face.
"Wow, someone would think you won the lottery." He muttered as he quickly glanced at me with a smirk and a frown.
"Well I feel like I have." I said grinning as I turned away from him to look out of the window in the door.
"Good, because when you get to the pack house you have to meet Jayce." He muttered and I groaned.
"I thought you said you could get me out of it." I argued and he shrugged.
"Yeah, but then I got you the Zeta position and he wanted to meet you." He explained. "It's either the position or meeting the Alpha, do you think you can survive?" he asked in mock seriousness.
