~Time skip to four years later, you are now 15 years old~

Feitan had told you Shalnark was coming to wave you goodbye when you take the ship from Whale Island to the Hunter Exam.

You and Feitan were already on Whale Island, waiting for Shalnark to arrive. In a minute or two, the ship would depart.

"Feitan... Shalnark is late." Your annoyed mood of the morning hadn't left. For the first time in nine years, you'd be going alone somewhere without Feitan or Shalnark by your side.

"I know, I know. Ah! Look, there he is." Feitan pointed at a blond-haired male that came slowly running toward you two. That was unmistakably Shalnark.

"(Y/n)! Feitan!" Shalnark waved at the two of you and smiled as brightly as usual.

You crossed your arms. "Shalnark, you're late." He wasn't actually late, just late in your opinion.

"I'm sorry! (Y/n), do you have everything?" Shalnark asked as he slowly caught his breath again after running from wherever he was to here.

"I have my phone and the transmitter... I can survive on my Nen knives and I have my two actual knives in the holsters." You said as you checked your pockets again for the tenth time this day.

Feitan nodded. "Good, get on the boat."

You stared at Feitan with an 'Are-you-kidding-me' look. "Is it that time already?"

Shalnark chuckled. "Are you that attached to us?"

You began walking towards the boat. "Hell no! I'm fifteen! Remember that."

As you made your way onto the boat, you could feel Feitan and Shalnark laugh behind you.

Soon, the boat departed. You waved a goodbye to Feitan and Shalnark, just like a little boy besides you.

This boy looked younger than you and was wearing all green. He saw you were waving as well. "Are those two the ones you were waving at?" The boy pointed at the fully black-clothed Feitan and the happy-looking Shalnark.

"Yes. They are very important people to me, for the first time in nine years, I'll leave without them." Your eyes widened and you slowly turned red. "Sorry... I didn't mean to ramble on."

The boy just smiled. "It's fine! My name is Gon Freecss. What about you?"

"My name is of no importance right now." You then began walking away. "I hope you survive this Hunter Exam."

As you walked away from the end of the boat, you felt stares from everywhere on the boat. Sometimes you stares back but with a death-stare.

You sat down on the boat and leaned against the sides of it. The phone in your pocket stuck out a little and thus you decided to take it out.

When you opened your phone, the first thing you saw was the video you had made with Pairo five years ago. You closed it as soon as you saw it.

The Kurta Clan massacre was still heavy on you even though you had forgotten most of it. A boy with blond hair was staring at you.

"W-Was that Pairo?"

You were shocked, although you didn't show it, your face looked just confused as you were hiding the shock. "Pairo? I'm sorry, I'm afraid I don't know what you mean."

"Oh... I'm sorry for interrupting you." And so the boy walked away, he sat down a little further from you and began reading a book.

You stretched your legs a little when suddenly an old man, that looked like the captain announced a storm. "Everyone! Get inside."
