Toxic Caveman

Chapter 1: The Spacecraft

Earth Year 3000

         "I am here at the secret base of operations where my source says they have finished building the rocketship to send people off of earth. They have not disclosed this to the public because they know they would have to take everyone off of earth and not just the wealth!" Nate says into his camera as he looks around a couple of boxes to hide from some of the army men's view. He was trying his hardest to be stealthy and be heard for his audience at the other end of his camera. He's live streaming for his channel so for one they know what will happen to him if he gets kidnapped and for two so he can document everything without having to edit it.

Outside the base you could hear the hovercrafts coming and going. Nate was starting to think the secret base wasn't so secret and mostly hidden from the less fortunate people who probably couldn't afford to get off this god awful planet. The drought came years ago drying up all the crops and most of everyone's water supply. It became a desolate planet making the President a raging homicidal man taking everything for himself and giving it to the wealthy and leaving the poor to starve and die until Baxter Marks that is. The founder of We Will Survive Organization who came up with meal plan handouts and it became a global phenomenon so much that the President had to implement it and then decided while no one was looking that the WWS Organization was a terrorist group so now they have to meet in secret to help the people. ANd anyone who is suspected to be in the group would be shot dead or worse captured and never be seen from ever again. That's what happened to one of the members and it made Baxter the number one target when he tried to assassinate Howard, our President of the United States.

"...The guards seem to be covering one in particular room. I am going to have to get them to leave their post so I can sneak inside. And hopefully they have the rocketship behind that door." Nate was sweating bullets. He was nervous that this would be for nothing and that they would capture him and kill him. But he knew the people needed to know the truth if their government was hiding secrets and their way to survive. Nate wrung his hands as he put his selfie stick with his camera attached to it between his legs and looked around the army base to see what he could use to distract the guards.

Nate flipped his floppy curly hair back so it wouldn't get in eyes and bit his pouty lips in nervousness hoping his plan would work. He looked at the other set of boxes in the warehouse and thought maybe if he knocked some of them over it would make the guards go and investigate. As he ran hunkered down to maneuver around the boxes and not be seen he pushed some over and looked around them to see if the guards even budged a little. One of the guards eyebrows twitched and he wrung his hands but didn't move the other had no reaction at all.

"Fuck my life! These guards probably won't move for anything unless the place was on fire! Oh wait a minute! That sounds like a great idea!" Nate looked around again and the table right next to him seemed to have test tubes and chemicals laying around on it. "I'm sure if I mix some of this stuff it will make a bomb." Some of his audience live typed yes, and for him to try it out.

Nate quietly snuck some of the supplies and chemicals and mixed some in test tubes and when he saw that one was starting to bubble up he threw the test tube at the guards and within seconds a fash bang exploded. Sceams sounded in the air as the smoke covered the place making Nate's heart jump out of his chest he now only had seconds before the other guards come in running to investigate the explosion. Nate ran for the doo and he could see the mercury blood oozing from one of the guards on the ground. One of their arms were completely off hanging from the rail in the ceiling making Nate want to throw up. But he couldn't think about that he had to get behind that door!

The door was ajar the flash bang knocked it off it's hinges and Nate just pushed the scrape of the door to the side and immediately he was in wonder. The rocketship was not a rocketship but a fucking spacecraft that you would only see in those old tv shows and big hollywood movies that don't exist anymore. It was huge it took up all of the space in the back of the warehouse base it was even hovering off ground and Nate could see that the roof of the building would open up if someone inclined to use it. But that wasn't what freaked Nate out it was that their were three more built just like it next the spacecraft taking up all the space.
