Chapter 11: In The Eyes Of The Enemy

Zyrrus' P. O. V.

"Zy magpahinga muna ta'yo, Selene is injured..." We were crossing a huge clearing papunta sa isang maliit na bayan. Tama si Via pero if we rest now baka hindi namin ma-kompleto ang misyon namin. I don't want to break my 2 year streak and let those monsters kill the one we have to protect.

"No! This is our mission we have to protect that person PERIOD!" Mariin kong sabi hindi naman makapaniwala si Via. She doesn't really know m at all, when it comes to missions I'm serious. Pinigilan ni Selene si Via and convinced her that I was right.

The whole trip was quite, walang kahit isa sa kanila ang umimik until we reached the village. It was quite at parang ghost town na dito, wala naring ilaw ang mga bahay at nagkalat ang mga dugo sa daan. Maybe we're too late baka napatay na ng mga halimaw ang dapat sana naming protektahan. I was scanning the area when we heard a bloodcurdling scream.

"Over there!" I exclaimed kaya dali-dali akong sinudan nina Via. It was a girl at na-corner na siya ng isa sa mga golem I watched as my bracelet glowed indicating na ang babaeng ito ang dapat naming protektahan.

Agad kong pinana ang halimaw pero hindi ito naabo or even dissolved, masyado na sigurong marami ang kanyang napatay kaya mas lumakas ito. Via swooped the trembling girl habang inaatake namin nina Lei ang halimaw.

"You know what to do Via get her out of here, Selene go with her!" I watched as they went away with the girl. Nag-iisa lang ang halimaw na'to dito kahit na malakas siya imposibleng magawa niya ito lahat and it came to me he's not the only one. Shet si Via!

"Lei use this I'm sure it'll incinerate him!" I handed her a acid grenade and followed Via, this may actually be planned by them. Paghiwa-hiwalayin kami para mas madali nila kaming mapatay.

Vianni's P. O. V.

"You know what to do Via get her out of here, Selene go with her!" Those words echo through my mind habang tinatahak namin ni Selene ang malabong na gubat dito kasama ang babae. I never bothered to ask her when I heard something malayo pa ito but my hearing was sharp since it already has developed.

"Selene don't move, something is stalking us..." I listened carefully, hindi something someone and based on the footsteps marami sila. Hindi kaya isa tong ambush!

"Selene get ready it's an am-" Hindi ko na natapos ang warning ko dahil sabay-sabay na sumugod ang mga dambuhalang halimaw. I easily slashed one of them to goo dahilan para mapaatras ang iba.

"Selene protect her!" Hindi ko alam kung bakit inaalay ko ang buhay ko sa taong hindi ko kilala maybe it dahil iyon sa adrenaline ko. But something hit me kaya tumilapon ako. My back was now aching at parang sinusunog na ang buong katawan ko sa sakit. That's when I noticed that one of the branch was already piercing may left arm. I can't move, I can't do anything when I noticed a figure getting close to me.

Tinggal nito ang sanga ng kahoy at wala man lang akong naramdaman na sakit. He snapped his finger and I was already standing in a all black space.

"Kamukhang-kamukha mo talaga siya Via, kamukhang-kamukha mo talaga si Elisia" It was the same person that talked to me at the Forest Bazaar, hindi ako nagkakamali siya nga ito.

"Alam mo Via at first naniwala akong ikaw na talaga si Elisia but you were both different, you look the same but you act differently. Maybe hindi nga ikaw si Elisia but I can fix that I can bring her back by using you!" He sounds like a menace because of his laugh that send shivers down my spine.

I pulled out my sword hindi ako magpapatalo sa sino mang lalaki kahit gaano sila ka lakas I will fight till the end. "Let's make this easy for you Via all you've got to do is sit there as I transfer Elisia's soul to you. Matagal ko ng pinangarap na maghari sa buong mundo yet she died and now you're here." He walked closer to me, I tried to hit him with my sword but it was no use inilagan niya lang ito at hinila dahilan para mabitawan ko ito, I was to weak but I have to fight.

"Well I guess you have already made up your mind, you want to suffer...tsk..tsk...tsk." He was fast as lighning, hindi ko namalayan na umatake na pala siya sa likod ko and I was hit by his huge club that injured me badly. Shet I'm gonna die beacuse of this, isa pang hit sigurado ay mapapatumba niya ako.

"It doesn't matter if you're dead or alive I just need your body!" Mabuti nalang at naka-ilag ako sa kanya but I can't avoid him forever I need to form a plan immediately!

"Tandaan niyo ito hindi lahat ng mga Miteo ang nagkakaroon ng malakas na kapangyarihan na isa sa mga gingamit ng mga ninuno natin noon sa pakikipaglaban sa ibang mga mundo. Pero maari mo itong gamitin sa oras ng pangngailangan. All you have to do is focus feel the deepest part of your soul and transform such energy into magic!" All I have to do is concentrate at makakawala ako ng malakas na enerhiya na maari kong gamitin laban sa kanya. I started to zone out and bring all of my strength to create a magical energy. I was already weak pero mamatay ako if hindi ko gagawin 'to.

I felt my hands heating up, kahit isang maliit lang na enerhiya upang makatakas ako rito. Boom! Pinakawalan ko ito lahat straight on him, cracking the darkness that engulfedus kanina. It was my time to escape. My adrenaline started to rush at kahit ilang sugat ang natamo ko I felt no pain. It was like an ecstasy but if my adrenaline would die out this is gonna be painful.

"Zyrrus... Help!"

Zyrrus' P. O. V.

Shit! Bakit wala siya dito, nawala narin ang mga halimaw and what was left were Selene and the girl. It's all my fault kung bakit nawala siya when I suddenly heard a rustle. Footsteps pero it was'nt from the monsters, it was Via. She needs my help my sumusunod sa kanya, I can't lose her this past few months napalapit narin ako sa kanya and I would be a fool if sasabihin kong hindi ko siya gusto.

"Zyrrus... Help!" Those words echo through my mind. She was mind communicating. When did she learn this?

"Via where are you? Are you okay?" I can sense that she was getting weaker. Kung may mangyayari sa kanya hindi ko mapapatawad ang sarili ko.

I followed her voice, until I found her lying on the forest floor with cuts and bruises. What happened to her? I instantly carried her and used our beacon we already completed our mission we protected the girl and now it's time for me to protect her, don't worry Via...
