"daniel don't you even dare" i yelled as daniel chased me around the living room with a pile of whipped cream in his hand. i ran until i tripped over my own foot and daniel gently smacked my face with the whipped cream, and ran off laughing.
"that's what you get for not sharing your cookies with me" he sang. "calm down you two love birds before you wake lav up" gabbie whisper yelled at us. the 'love birds' remark made daniel and i awkwardly laugh and my cheeks turn a brught pink color. was it that obvious that i was falling for daniel?
i walked up to my bathroom to clean my face up when daniel's head popped in the door. i acted as if i was mad at him, even though i really wasn't, and it was clearly working because his facial expression changed to sad. "i'm sorry for smacking you with whipped cream" he shyly said as he was coming in for a hug.
SMACK, i whacked his face with the whipped cream i had hidden in my right hand and immediately burst into laughter. "you didn't think i was actually mad right? just getting payback" i said with a sly grin. we both looked at ourselves in the mirror and burst into laughter once more.
we finally got cleaned up and i hopped on my bed to watch something on netflix that i had already watched a million times during quarantine. daniel walked out of my bathroom and looked at the tv "what are you watching?" he asked "the office" i said "no way that's my favorite" he replied "well do you want to join me?" i asked, trying to not sound like i really wanted him to.
"nah i think i'll just go take a nap instead" he replied "oh... okay" i said, honestly a little sad. "i'm just kidding, of course i'll join you" he said with a big smile. he joined me on the bed and i turned on the office. we had watched a couple episodes when suddenly i felt him scoot closer to me, and that made me smile a little.
i returned my gaze to the tv and tried to focus on actually watching the show... then i felt daniel's head on my arm. i looked over and his eyes were closed, like he was drifting off to sleep. he looked so peaceful and i'm not going to lie... pretty cute too. i kept watching tv until my eyes started to get heavy. i snuggled into daniel who was now fast asleep and closed my eyes then soon fell asleep myself.
