~Chapter 17~

Lenza's Pov:

*Six months later*

I've been living here for nine months now. Tyler is definitely like my brother. I got a boyfriend named Jacob. Tyler doesn't know about him though. Tyler put me into public school. I don't understand why kids would even go, I mean it's terrible. Plus, I get bullied all the time. It's mostly the popular jocks, they usually just hit me. No one has noticed because of them hitting my stomach and back. (Wolves in the story don't have supernatural healing unless they're a hybrid, but she's only a witch and wolf. So she hasn't died and became a vampire.) Our school is really bad. There's too many places to hide from the cameras. But, Alaric is our principle, he's great at it.

"Za come on, you got to go." Stefan said to me.
(Pronounced: zee-u)

"Why?" I asked him. He was dropping me off because Tyler had something to do.

"Because one Tyler will get mad if you don't and two because I can't keep you here all day." He answered.

"He won't even know." I mumbled.

"That you didn't go? Yes he will. Alaric will call him if you don't go." I know he's right.

"Okay fine. Bye Stefan." I said getting out of the car.

"Bye Za." He said back.

I walked to my locker and got my stuff out for my classes. I started walking to where my first class was when I got pulled into a different hallway where camera couldn't see.

"Look boys. It's the freak show." The lead jock said. "What are you even doing here?"

"It doesn't matter what she's doing here." One of the other ones said.

The next thing I knew, I got slammed into a locker. Then got hit in the face a few times before I was thrown to the ground. They were hitting and kicking me. Usually they only punch me in the stomach or back a few times, but not this time.

"Alright boys. My office now." I heard a voice say. "Alright are you o- Lenza? Is that you?" It was Alaric. Shit. He's going to tell Tyler and he going to be mad. "Come on." He held out his hand for me to take, so I did. He pulled me up.

"I'm okay Alaric." I said to him.

"No you're going to the nurse and I'm going to call Tyler to come get you." He said.

"No. Alaric, I'm okay." I said back.

"It wasn't a question, now come on." He said pulling my hand a bit to get me to walk with him. I gave in and walked with him to the nurse.

"Oh honey!" The nurse said. "What happened?" I didn't even get to answer her, she was already looking at the cuts and bruises. She cleaned them up and then I had to go to Alaric's office.

"Lenza, come with me." Alaric said. We walked into the part of the room where he was talking to the boys. This part of his office had a door. "Sit." The boys were all looking at me. They were mad.

"Why is she here?" The leader said.

"Because when I found you guys, you were all hitting her." Alaric said. "So you're going to apologize to her." No. No. No. That's going to make it worse.

"We are sorry. All of us." The main jock said.

"You are all going to be suspended for five days. Now go sit out there." He said motioning to the jocks.

After the jocks left he faced me.

"I'm calling Tyler." No, he can't call Tyler.

"No it's okay. I'm fine." I said back as fast as I could.

"No it's not, kid. How long have they been doing that?" I got here nine months ago and have been enrolled for eight, they started a week after I got here. So I guess one week short of eight months?

"I don't know. Not long." I said back.

"You're lying. I can hear your heart beat remember? It quite literally skipped a beat." He said making me look down. "I'm calling Tyler either way. So how long have the been hitting you?"

"Since a week after I got here." Why did I give in? I'm so stupid. Tyler is going to be livid.

"Kid!" I jumped. "Sorry for making you jump, but why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't tell anyone." I replied. He's not going to like that answer. He didn't say anything else, he just picked up the phone and put it on speaker.

"Hello?" Tyler's voice said confused.

"Tyler? It's Alaric." He said back.

"Oh, hi Alaric. What's going on?" He asked. Here we go.

"Well I think it's best you come to the school and we talk about this in person." He said. "It's about Lenza." Shit.

"What? Okay I'll be there in about five minutes." He said back. With that he hung up the phone.

"Kid stay here." He said and then walked out.
