~Chapter 21~

Lenza's Pov:

*February 28th*

It's been a month since I found out about my family having been here before, meaning I've been here for ten months. Tyler said they didn't want to scare me, but it scares me more that they didn't tell me. I'm back in school and I finally made a friend, her name is Lilyanna. Jacob and I haven't spoke in a month, so I have no clue what's going on with us anymore, but I still see him all the time.

"Hey love." I turned around and saw my best friend.

"Hi L." I said back to her.

"So I know you're going to say no, but-" she started.

"Then why are you going to ask Lilyanna?" I said.

"Let me finish. I want to know if you want to skip with me?" She asked.

I don't think I should, Alaric is going to call Tyler and then he's going to make me astral project to my family. That's right, I forgot, we changed the deal, again. Now the deal is that I get three strikes I have to astral project to my family, but if I get three more he's going to call my dad and tell him I'm here.

"Yo? Lenza? You still here?" She said waving her hand in front of my face.

"Huh? Oh yeah. You know what? Fine." I said.

"What?" She asked puzzled.

"I'll skip school with you." I said looking at her.

"Okay. Let's go then." Lilyanna said.

We started walking in the direction of our first class, but we passed it. There's a door right past that leads to outside. We walked out of the door and snuck to the park that's five blocks away. When we got there we sat down and I just looked at her. I have no idea why we were here.

"Okay so today is February 28th, right?" She asked.

"Yeah?" I replied, confused.

"It's your birthday silly." She said. I had forgotten.

"Oh, right." I said. "I forgot about that."

"Well happy birthday darling." She said.

Wow. 'Darling' hits me hard, Uncle Kol used to call me that all the time. Lilyanna is great at calling me some of the things they did, like: 'love', 'darling', and 'angel'. She has the same accent as them. I think it's british, I might be wrong. But they're just nicknames, it's not her fault, she doesn't even know anything about them.

"Thank you L." I said back.

After I finished telling her thank you, she pulled a bottle out of her bag.

"What's that?" I asked.

"Bourbon." She said simply.

"What? Why do you have that?" I asked, I'm now very confused.

"Oh, you don't have to drink if you don't want to, but I want to so I'm going to." She said laughing.

"I want to, I've never drank before." I whispered the last part to her.

"Oh? This is going to be fun." Her voice was laced with amusement.

After a while we finished the bottle and I'm as Lilyanna called it, a light weight. Just then my phone started ringing, again.

"Please see who that is they're very annoying." She said.

I looked down at my phone and it was Tyler. I declined it, then I saw that I had missed calls and text messages from a lot of people.
