The good bye

"You have to promise me that you won't think differently of me this was 2 years ago, if I could take it back I would. I had a messed up childhood and didn't have a father to teach me how to treat women."

"I promise" she assures me and holds my hand. I enjoy this contact for the last time because once she knows she will want to leave.

"Okay so when I was 10 my dad left me my 2 year old brother and my mum all alone he took our money and car. My mum worked all day and only got 2 hours of sleep, I lost my good friends, I got new friends they weren't friendly they did this- this game where they would take a girl and see who could have her first whoever won got 100 dollars, like I said we were poor, they said that I should play I was only 17 but I said yes they got drunk and so did I we had this idea to show evidence because one time someone lied, we would record them I got her attention and-"

"You recorded her didn't you...?!" Tessa says for me I didn't say anything, I just looked away.

"Like I was saying I would take it back..." I say full of guilt.

"Did she find out? What did you do with the video?" She asks worried, Her eyes are shiny.

"She didn't find out until later, I showed my friends they wanted her to she said no because she loved me they took the video and posted it to the internet, I felt horrible ,Her parents kicked her out and she didn't have anywhere to go she asked to stay but I said no because we were too poor, My mum found out and said we had to move know I live here...I feel horrible I know i'm messed up..."

She doesn't say anything, she just cries silent. I reach for her hand and she lets me, I thought she was going to leave or at least flinch from my touch.

"Do you want to go to Molly's?" I ask in almost a whisper. She says yes and takes my phone, im about to ask what she is doing when I see she is on my contacts. She gives me her number then puts Molly's address on my phone and we drive. It's silent for the whole drive.

"I just need to think about all of this. I know this is your past, I love you jellybean i'll text you" she says and leaves.

I drive home. When I get there my mum looks worried. I ignore her and go to my room. I change into a pair of gray sweatpants and a black t-shirt. I watch safe for a little while and then I get a text from Tessa. 'Hey! I miss you jellybean, anyway I have thought about what you said. I know this is your past so I will forgive you. LOVE YOU, see you tomorrow -Tessa' I smile. I respond with 'okay thank you so much, love you baby have a good night' I love her so much. I fall asleep.
