*Hardin's POV*

My mum walks in and hugs Tessa. "Are you okay?" She asks her and she nods. I know she's not, But she doesn't want to worry my mum. Smith walks into the kitchen and grabs some crisps. He sticks his hand in and eats them, crumbs fall to the floor and mum looks at him and then leaves. "So are you still leaving?" Smith asks and looks away. I know he likes Tessa. She is really sweet, He likes how she is so caring, She treats him like her own brother. "Nope" She says and ruffles his hair. He giggles and he sits on the chair. Tessa hops off the counter and grabs the phone. She dials the number to the Chinese place.She orders something I've never heard of before. "Want anything?" She asks me and Smith. "Hardin what do I always get?" Smith asks me and I laugh. I tell Tessa to get the c4 and the c50. She laughs and tells the lady on the phone. She hangs up and walks over to us. "Okay we've got 20 minutes what are we going?" She asks and runs into the living room. She puts on some music and grabs a deck of cards. She yells to us to play war. She explains the rules and we start to play. She lays down a 5 of hearts and so do I. "WAR!" She yells and I laugh. We lay down 3 cards and I win. She frowns and I laugh. We continue to play when the door rings. "I got it," Tessa says and walks to the door. "HARDIN" She yells from the kitchen I get up and walk in to see a policeman. "Hardin Scott?" He asks and I nod. "We need to ask some questions. May we come in?" He asks and Tessa walks back to Smith and holds him by his shoulders. "So what's up?" I ask and Tessa sits down with Smith on her lap. "Well the incident yesterday, We have proof that Gavin did not do that. You were raping Tessa." He says and I lose it. "I- I what? Why the fuck would I rape my own girlfriend AND make my little brother watch?" I wanna murder this man. The doorbell rings again. "I'll be back" Tessa goes and gets the food and sets it on the counter. She walks back over to Smith and sits back down. "Look sir it wasn't Hardin it was Gavin. Tessa was taken and I was going to call the police when Hardin told me to go to my room. Gavin's friends grabbed me and then punched Hardin in the face. He shoved us in a car and drove away. I don't know what he said but that's what happened." Smith says and surprises me and Tessa. "Little boy, Please" The man says to Smith. I give him a glare. "It's true. What he said, That's how it happened." Tessa says to back them up. She waves toward my face to show the bruise from Gavin. "Okay, Well have a good meal" The man says and walks out. Tessa closes the door and waits for them to leave. "Let's eat," Tessa says and grabs the food. We walk back into the living room and eat and play cards.

Tessa starts laughing real hard and she snorts. Smith and I laugh and she covers her face. "Awe is my baby embarrassed?" I ask her and she shakes her head. "UGH!" Smith groans and I don't know why. "What?" Tessa and I say at the same time. "We have school tomorrow and people are going to ask questions." Smith says and looks at me. "If they ask, just tell them to shut up and mind their own damn business." I say and Tessa swats at my arm. 'What?" I ask her "don't say foul words" she says. She walks over and ruffles Smith's hair."Love you Smith goodnight" She says and walks to my room. Smith stands up and runs after her. "Good night Tessa! Love you" He says and kisses her cheek. Then he waddles off to bed. I stand up and hug Smith, then I walk into my room and shut the door. Tessa is sitting on the bed with the remote. Her eyebrows are pushed together, Her eyes are a deep blue right now. "Jellybean!" She yells, breaking my thoughts. "Yes?" I ask and she looks at me then moves over and pats the bed for me to sit down. I walk over and sit down. She pushes me so that I'm lying down. She puts her head on my chest. She picks a movie called the kissing booth Which is about a teenage girl who has a crush on her best friends brother. She and Lee, her best friend, have to come up with an idea for the spring carnival. They do a kissing booth. The girls want Noah Lee's older brother to be a kisser. Noah says no but does pay once. He cuts in front of a non popular guy and the girl kisses swaps with Elle the main character. She kisses Noah and is shocked because she broke the rule most important to lee. Relatives of family are off limits. They secretly date until Lee finds out. They go on complicated rides of emotions. Tessa cries at some parts and she grabs a fist full of my shirt. She ends up falling asleep.
