New Start

Reunited

                When I wake up I check the time I see that it is only 8 in the morning. I walk down stairs and make Hardin Smith and I breakfast. I am setting the plates out when I feel arms wrap around my waist. "Good Morning" Hardin's raspy voice whispers in my ear. "Morning is Smith up?" I ask as I turn around and kiss his lips so gently. He nods and I walk to Smith's room. I tell him there is food and he runs out of his room and goes to the table. Hardin is only in his shorts and I can't take my eyes off his tattoos. "Smith, my sister is coming over today. I thought I would let you know" I say and smile. His eyes light up in excitement. "You have a sister?!" He asks and I nod. "Does she have kids?" He asks and I think about it. Does she? I haven't seen her in a while and she is engaged. Maybe. "I don't know" I say and shrug my shoulders. When we're done eating I clean up the kitchen and do the dishes. Hardin watches. When I'm finished drying and putting away the dishes I go to clean the living room. After I'm done cleaning the house Hardin stops me. "You have been cleaning for the whole day. It's just your sister." He says and I smile. He is right. I am taking this too far. When I check the time it's 11:45. I am still in my pajamas. I run to our room and pull on some ripped jeans and a white crop top. I rush to the bathroom and some mascara on and brush my hair then my teeth. When I'm done I walk out and see Hardin has put his usual black jeans and shirt on. There is a knock on the door and I squeal. I run to open it and my sister is standing there. I pull her into a hug and start crying. She hugs me harder and I feel her tears hitting my shoulders. When we release each other she smiles at me. "I missed you" I say and wipe my eyes. She laughs and she points at my face. "You just smeared your mascara across your face" She explains and I laugh. I welcome her inside and she sees Hardin. "Hello! You must be Hardin" She says and he nods. She shakes his hand. I bring her upstairs with me so I can remove my makeup. "Do you love him? " She ask me and I nod. Of course I do.

            When we get down stairs the two men are sitting on the couch. Me and Sasha walk into the living room. Hardin looks at me and smiles. I plop down on top of his lap and he kisses my cheek. Sasha sits next to her fiance. "Oh Tessa this is Alex" She says and he smiles at me. I feel Hardin get tense and I grab his hand. He relaxes and I look away from Alex. "So how have you been doing?" I ask to break the tension. "Welllll I'm pregnant!" She announces and I squeal. "YAY I'm going to be a aunt" I shake my hands and Smith comes out of his room. 'Tessa you didn't tell me you had a little boy" Sasha speaks and I laugh. I'm followed by Smith and Hardin. We are all cracking up. Sasha looks confused. "No this is Smith Hardin's little brother" I say while giggling she starts laughing too. "Oh okay" She giggles and I smile. "Well hello Tessa's sister" Smith says and shakes Sasha's hand. "Sasha, nice to meet you Smith" She shakes his hand and Hardin moves from underneath me. He gets up and walks to the kitchen. I keep talking to Sasha about all the stuff she has been doing. She says she has a job for painting and she lives in Seattle. She is getting married in 6 months and she is having her baby in 4 months. She wants me to be at the hospital when she gives birth. She has also invited me to her wedding. I am so happy that I got to meet up with her. "I wish da-" I am about to finnish that sentence when Hardin's hand covers my mouth. "No don't finnish that sentence. You don't mean it." He says and my sister nods along with Hardin. "So tell me how you met that lovely man" She says and pushes my arm. I smile. "Well he came to my school and I had to show him around. I helped him that night with the baby sitting and ended up staying the night. Molly drugged me and I moved out with her. I ran away from mom because she was abusive and moved in with Hardin. I've been threw so much. Noah rapped me and made Smith watch. I ended up falling in love with this broken man, That has changed for me. I love him so much Sasha." I finished telling her. She smiles at me. "What do you mean mom became abusive?" Sasha asks me and I look away. "Well Noah started cheating on me. He always called me fat and ugly. He told me what to wear and how to act. When I told mom she would laugh. Noah became so abusive and when I said something to mom she just hit me. I ran away and Noah has found me but him and mom are in prison. Tell me about dad" I say to change this touchy subject. Me and Sasha have had different lives. "Well when we moved it was a little rough. When we got back on our feet he got sick. He then got really sick, He couldn't work or even walk. I had to take care of him. He ended up passing away last month." When she stops talking I start crying. A really ugly cry. My eyes burn and my hands cover my mouth. Hardin wraps his arms around my waist and he picks me up. He sits back on the couch and I punch his chest. Why in the hell can't anything in my life go good for once? I scream and hit hardin and he pulls me closer to him. Sasha's had caresses my back. "I am so sorry Tess" She says and I relax. "It's not your fault" I say. I grab a fist full of Hardin's shirt. "I just want to have one good day" I sob into his chest. "I am going to leave you and Hardin here" Sasha says and she leaves with Alex.

*Hardin's POV*

         Tessa is really upset. I can understand how she feels. Her father left her when she was little and took her only sister, Her mum became abusive and hurt her. She was raped and after all this she finds out her dad has passed. I hold her for a little longer and she calms down. "I'm sorry I socked your shirt" She giggles and I shake my head. "It's okay baby, Are you okay?" I ask her and she looks down. I grab her chin and force her to look at me. She nods. "I just want the past in the past, I only have one regret..." She takes a long pause. "I never got to say goodbye to my dad, The last thing I ever said to him was that I can't believe that he was going to leave me with mom and take my sister away and that I hate him" She starts to tear up and I catch her tears as they fall.

          A little later Tess is calm, Her and Sasha have caught up. Me and Alex get along but it still annoys me that he keeps touching Tess. We end up ordering food, Smith eats then goes to bed.
