[Colors]

Jyugo was sitting in his cold empty cell all alone, no cellmates, no one to talk to, just the uncomfortable ground and insect crawling on the walls.

It has been awhile since he had a cellmate, the last ones at his old prison were abusive but it was still better than the boring atmosphere he was currently in.

Multiple footsteps echoed throughout the hall along with a female voice shouting profanities.

Those unholy words stopped infront of jyugo's cell. Surprised, he looked up and met face to face with an equally shocked girl.

"Inmate No. 143, behave. Inamte 115, you better not cause trouble with this bitch," said the guard and harshly threw the stranger in his cell.

She didn't move for awhile which caused Jyugo to worry and poked the corpse.

"Hello? You ok?"

(y/n) abruptly sat up, surprising the boy and looked around her surroundings with a lost face.

Her head stopped once she caught the sight of jyugo's bicolored hues and at fast a speed, moved closer to his face.

"Those are some interesting eyes," (y/n) said while turning the confused jyugo's head in every direction, fascinated at how it changes colors In every angle.

"Yeah, uhm... Could you like, let go?" He akwardly asked.

"Oh yeah! Sorry! I'm (y/n) by the way, or inmate 43, or you're new cellmate!" Her enthusiasm scared Jyugo a bit and so he moved to a corner with an indifferent expression.

(Y/n) defensively waved her hands, her chains swaying with the movement, "wait wait! Don't think I'm weird! I just really like colors and your eyes are really incredible, Beautiful, enchanting, pretty- anyways....don't be weirded out if I keep looking at ya, ok?..."

An hour after she showed her shameless, weird self, Jyugo surprisingly got used to her intense staring— Probably because everyone he came across with would always notice his unusual eyes.

The week went by fast and both inmates were getting comfortable with each other relatively fast.

(Y/n) was still being a weirdo, always pulling Jyugo whenever she wanted to inspect his eyes and Jyugo... Well, he's as akward as ever and doesn't make an attempt of pushing the girl away despite not liking the occuring situation.

He just couldn't bring himself to push her away.

Her touch was just too tempting and the daily attention (y/n) gives him was something he had never received before. He felt... special.

(Y/n) brought color to his once dull life, it was brighter now.

Before they knew it, a year had already passed since the weird daily routine started. (Y/n) only had to serve a year in prison and her release date is due to the next day.

Jyugo was out in the training area, chilling while gazing at the stars, no guards nearby to catch him.

The girl he had grown feelings for, came around the corner, the usual goofy grin on her face.

(y/n) ran as fast as lightning towards Jyugo, who got startled at the sudden speed. She flung herself at him, capturing the boy in a tight embrace.

Both were uncomfortably laying on the ground; her, hugging Jyugo tightly, not wanting to let go.

"I'm gonna miss you ,ya know? It's been just a year but it felt like we've known each other since childhood..." What followed after were sobs and few more incoherent words.

He was never put in a situation were he has to comfort someone but his action screams otherwise.

Jyugo lightly patted the girls (color) hair, feeling the silky material between his fingers as he sat up to get into a more comfortable position while (y/n) was still using him as a human handkerchief.

"You're gonna be freed tommorow, why aren't you happy instead?" He was genuinely confused at how someone was sad about leaving prison, not noticing the girl's sadness was directed about something else.

As she finnaly let go of him, (y/n) let out a chuckle while rubbing the tears away, but the sadness was still there. "Dumbass. It's because I'd be leaving you too."

Confused than before, he continued to ask, " You mean just my eyes? That's obviously the only thing you like about me... I think."

"Haha! Well you thought wrong!" She exclaimed, the sadness from before replaced by her grin once again.

Jyugo just tilted his head cutely, which made (y/n)'s heart flutter and made her a stuttering mess.

"W-well... I meant that I'll miss YOU too! All of YOU!..."

It went silent after that, only (y/n) felt akward while Jyugo was trying to make sense of the girl's confusing(to him) words.

"Anyways... It's gonna be sunrise soon. Let's g-go?"

Jyugo stopped his train of thoughts and looked at the sky which already started to reveal the color of dawn.

Right... She needs to get ready after all.

"yeah... Let's go."

"Hey (y/n)?" He asked, almost in a whisper.

The girl turned around and her signature smile adorning her face, "Wassup?"

"I got released no too long ago... After so many years. I'm happy to finnaly visit you." A sad smile played on his lips, the (favourite flowers) rustling from behind him as he fumbled with it.

"I know right? I've been waiting for you! I missed you, ya know? Especially your eyes, I missed staring at it, haha." (Y/n) leisurely walked towards him as she ranted and stopped right infront of Jyugo, looking at him expectingly.

"Right. These flowers... I luckily had enough to pay for them, not sure if they're you favourite though."

He pulled out the bouquet and placed it on the concrete ground, just infront of (y/n).

The girl gasped and hugged Jyugo and gasped, "You didn't have to! And of course they're my fav! They're from you after all."

Jyugo only felt a cold breeze passed by him though, no hugs, no (y/n) just the tombstone which her name was engraved on.

The colors that had once tinted his life into a cheerful one, already disappeared. What's left was canvas of nothingness.
