⊹Kenshirou×Reader

So sorry I haven't published for like... A week. Idek ;-;

Anyways, I've been very  conscious of the way I write after reading some works of other authors and I really doubt that I can't give you guys great contents like them...

But I'll still continue this book despite my shit way to writing!

Inspiration: the one star above me... Literally only one star.

[Lonely]

Friends was something he never thought of. Humans are cruel and fake creatures with sadistic personalities, who would want to befriend something like that?

That's why, he always found it fun to play with dogs instead.

Kenshirou was lonely, yes, but he never cared about that, about what others might think of the lone wolf.

(Y/n) is no different. Except, she's always sacred of people's thoughts on her, why she doesn't have any friends, why she keeps staring longingly at a group of friends.

She had no one, not even a pet to keep her mood up.

That loneliness followed the two throughout college, and that same loneliness stopped there as well.

When they met for the first time, Kenshirou accidentally snapped at the terrified girl. It was quite a bad first impression of Kenshirou but after making it up for her by helping (y/n) with her studies, they grew considerably close.

That lead to a healthy friendship that would hopefully blossom to something greater.

Most of the times, with how close the two are growing, people would misconstrue it for love.

But honestly, they aren't too far from the truth.

When college had ended, they had already understood their feelings by then, and decided to not miss the chance of speaking it out loud for the other to hear.

(Y/n) feared rejection while Kenshirou feared they would grow distant once he confesses, leaving him lonely and friendless again.

Summer was almost ending, students already enrolling in schools and the start of finding a job for the newly graduated college students.

Kenshirou already knew what he's gonna persue but on the other hand, (y/n) still didn't know what to do with her life.

The two bestfriends planned on meeting up on their college park, they haven't seen—only texted— each other since the ceremony so it was exciting to finnaly meet up like usual.

(Y/n) roamed around the park, catching cherry blossom petals once in awhile as she skipped.

Footsteps made her stop what she was doing and turned to the footsteps direction.

There, her best friend stood with a soft look on his face, both of them gazing at each other for awhile before (y/n) pounced at him.

"Kenshi-kun!! You don't know how lonenly I was without you!!"," She exclaimed, rubbing her head against Kenshirou's chest with teary eyes.

He chuckled lightly and patted the girl's back in comfort as he said, "I missed you too."

After that, they hung out for the remainder of the day; Going to Cafe's, buying stuff—mostly (y/n), talking and making preparations for their next meet up.

Their trip stopped at a park, overlooking the calm sea.

(Y/n) plopped down on one of the benches and stretched her arms and legs from soreness.

"Aaahh!!! That was so exhausting yet fun!" Kenshirou only nodded in response.

During their hang out session, (y/n) noticed that he seemed to be bothered by something but didn't question it since she figured it would just bug him even more.

Now is probably the time to ask, they both thought.

"Kenshirou."

"(Y/n)..."

They both stayed silent for awhile until Kenshirou began,"I want to ask you something."

(Y/n), "Me too..."

"Then, you ask first," he ushered.

She was a bit hesitant but nonetheless Inquired," I noticed you looked annoyed or bothered today, did something happened?"

(Y/n) did her cute head tilt which never failed to make the man blush.

Hiding his red face, he said, "U-Uhm... My question is actually related to my b-behavior from today. I apologise for giving you any wrong ideas."

"Oh no, no! I was just worried!"
...
".... So...what's your question?"

This is the moment Kenshirou waited for, and he's not gonna mess this up. Hopefully.

"Actually... My nervousness from earlier concerns my question..." He trailed.

(Y/n) did her cute head tilt once again, waiting for her friend to get to the point.

With chaotic thoughts running around his head, he cleared his throat, unsure if this should really be the time to ask the question that he's been wanting to voice out.

"...Will you stay by my side and drive my loneliness away... Forever?" That cheesy line finnaly rolled out of his tongue. The negative thoughts just continued running wild but his beating heart demolished those thoughts with it's loud beat.

The girl infront of him smiled softly, "mmhh....."

Kenshirou doesn't like the suspense and he certainly doesn't like the smile on her face, a smile just screans, "I'm sorry. I can't accept", at least that's what he thinks.

His doubt faded away when (y/n) laughed and responded, "I promise! let's be lonely together, forever!"

Years of being alone brought both of them in this moment, a moment they'd have to thank loneliness for.
