The Story Of Riley

For the past couple week's Luca and I have been hanging out everyday. He buys me food with out me asking, he opens doors for me, and he drives me home sometimes he's like the best friend or boyfriend I never had.

Right now he's picking me up to go to some party, that he was invited to——and I'm not even close to being ready. My make up was scattered on my dresser, clothes were all over the floor and bed, the shower just started heating up and he'll be here in an hour uhhhh.

"Riley"
"Yes mom?"
"You have a guessed"
No no no no no, please don't let be Luca I look horrible. I don't want him to see this side of me yet.

"Hold on" I threw on my slippers and rushed down the stairs. When I reached the bottom it wasn't Luca "hi, it's been along time" "yah I know and I'm sorry. Please just hear me out" he said walking up to me "sorry doesn't cut it you hurt me, and I really cared for you" Riley steppes up the stairs when he came closer "do you think you could ever forgive me Riley, you won't regret it" he tried to take her hand but She move it so he would get any thoughts "I don't know. Maybe not, so get out my house Shawn" Riley turned around and walked back to her room.

Taking off my clothes to get in the shower I heard my front door slam shut. He really left I thought he'd come up here and beg me to forgive him. But I guess not———a slight tear left my right eye and I didn't wipe it away It felt like all my feelings for Shawn were living my body.

Then I grabbed my towel, walked to the bathroom, took a nice shower, got dressed, and applied a natural looking makeup all before Luca arrived.

Once he got here, he waited patiently for me downstairs so I could make an entrance and I could help but smile. Their isn't many boys out here that actually do that, an I'm glad I met the one.

We left my house and now on our way there.

"You look really beautiful" Luca spoke "aww thank you, but your style looks way better than mine" Riley responded "if it was up to me I would have wore sweatpants but I wanted to make an impression" Riley also stated while meeting Lucas eyes with a cheesy smile.

"Why, except you even if you wore sweatpants and a T-shirt. I love that you wanted to make an impression but honestly I really didn't care I just want to spend time with you" Luca stated

I couldn't have a smile on him, he was so vulnerable and many boys in this day and age don't express their feelings anymore and seeing Luca do it effortlessly showed he was the right guy for me.

Then I did the unexpected.

He stopped at a red light I grabbed his face and kissed him.

His lips were so soft and sweet from his lip balm, I didn't want to pull away. Yet Luca did first. I was shocked I thought he liked the kiss, he kissed me back so why'd he pull away?

"Wait, Riley I have something important to tell you" he spoke catching his breath

"Okay. What is it?"

"Promise me you won't be mad——I'm I'm so sorry. I didn't expect any of this to happen, I didn't expect I found love with you, I didn't expect you to be the person you know—-

" you're worrying me Luca what's wrong"  I interrupt facing him eye to eye "I have a girlfriend".

I was frozen, I couldn't move or talk or breath. I wanted to pass out, I can't believe he let me fall for him and he's no better than all the other boys I've fall for. Why me, why am I in this situation again huh. God do you not want me to be happy—— "hello Riley are you okay?" "Riley" he waved his hand in front of my face "how could you Luca" i pushed his hand out my face opened the car door and walked back towards my home.

An hour passed and I still wasn't home, "wow this one long ass walk who the hell live this far" My feet were hurting so bad once I seen the closet diner I walked right in.

My mom wasn't answering her phone so I couldn't call her and I couldn't call Shai. Damn these are the moments I miss Shai the most, no matter what we were going through she'd always come get me.

The last I could think of was Leon and I didn't expect him to answer me.

"Hello"
"Hey um"
"Yea, wassup" he asked in a sleepy tone
"Ummm"
"Riley you gone have to spit it out"
" okay I'm sorry" i said quitting my voice
"No it's fine, wats up"
" something happened and I was wondering if you could come get me"  I said
" what happened"  his background muffled
" I don't want to talk about it, but will you be able too?" I question
"I wish I could but I'm with Abigal"
"Oh okay, I just thought—actually ion know what I thought thanks anyway have a goodnight" I retorted
"Wait, wats the address?"
" 157 Nw 79st " i responded
"Alright I'm coming "
