The following morning it was Saturday and I was pretty busy. I had plans with Shai to go shopping, to see my mom said of the family today for her birthday, and to go see daddy it would be 9 years tomorrow of his passing and I havent had the courage to stop by in a while.

So I got up and did my usual hygiene. This time I stayed in a little longer cause I was so into my music playlist, plus I couldn't stop think about Leon's dickish ways. After what happened yesterday I wanted nothing more to slap him right in the mouth for saying what he did to me. Even though it may have been true u shouldn't talk to anymore like that it's just principle

"RILEY WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT RUNNING UP MY WATER BILL" I heard my mom yell from the living room

"OKAY MOM I'M GETTING OUT NOW" I yelled back cutting off our shower

I know we may be poor and live in low down neighborhood,yet we stay in a decent apartment in my defense. It's always been in my moms character to keep a ruff over our heads and clothes on our backs which I'm truly grateful for. Let alone even if I never got what I wanted, I can say I always had what I need

" mom me and shai are going to the mall in a few she wanted me to go with her and see these shoes that are being released today" I said to her while walking inside the kitchen

" oh okay baby hand me my purse, so I can give you some money" she said while grabbing her purse herself and placing a 100 dollars in my hand

" No mom I dont need this you should keep it cause I know we cant afford it" placing the 100 back in her hand

" No riley you never ask me for anything cause your very mindful and humble about our situation but now I want you to treat your self to something good" she added while placing the money back in my hand while turning up her music so I wouldnt object once again

5 mintues later shai texted me saying meet her outside

" Hey boo, how's your saturday morning" I said getting into her 2019 Honda civic

" hey babes but it's starting off horrible. My moms keeps tripping about what college I'm going to and august has been on his period for the last couple of days bitch" she said driving off

Shai and August have been together since their 9th grade year and I'm really happy for them. Shai has always been the pretty girl or popular girl in school and August was the absolute opposite. He stuck to himself, always walked around with never more than 3 friends, and was smart as hell. So when they got together everyone was suprised cause we intentionally thought shai would be with leon but as her bestfriend I knew how she always felt about August.

" what happened? Did u guys get into a fight or something" I asked glancing from her and back at the road

" That's the thing we havent. Hes just been giving me the cold shoulder from the last couple of days and wont tell me why" Shai says tearing up. This was kind of usual for Shai, everytime she talked about her problems with August she always broke into tears. But its okay cause u can see she genuinely loved
August.

" no sweety dont cry its going to be okay. Doesn't it always end up okay, you know he doesn't do it intentionally he's probably busy plus you know he loves you with everything inside him" I said to her while we pull into the malls parking lot.

" okay okay, I really needed that riley. This is why your my bestfriend" she says smiling and wiping her tears

" always I love you fats" I said saying the nickname I gave her long time ago

When we got into the mall Shai dragged me straight into champs to see if they had the shoe she wanted, but they didnt so next she pulled me into footlocker and it hadn't been their either which made Shai mad and when shes mad all hell breaks loose.

" hey isnt the new jordans suppose to come out today" she spoke to the footlocker worker

" yes but we are all sold out until tuesday" she responded

" what the hell, how could u already be sold out they just came out today plus the mall just opened an hour ago" she said looking angrily at the work

" alot happens in an hour sweetheart so I dont know what to tell u my love" the worker said nonchalantly

" excuse me dont come at me wrong if you dont like your job nor get on my bad side my love" Shai said in the girls face. At this point I had to drag Shai out the store cause I really didnt feel like getting kicked out the mall today

After the whole incident we end up passing by a couple other stores and our hands piled up with bags. I soon dropped two on the floor and when I went down to pick them up someone grabbed them for me.

" oh thank y--, oh it's you" I said looking at leon straight in the eyes

" Goodmorning to u to" he said smiling with this skeptical smile

" arent your such a grinch today on this fine morning"

" Leon can u just give me my bags back plus your in our way" I murmured with an annoyed look on my face

" no problem black girl heres your shit" he said dropping it to the floor again

" excuse me what the fuck did u just say to my bestfriend" Shai hissed

" no shai it's all good, he's not work it lets just go. And some friendly advice being a dick and a good boy dont mix well for you, you may slip up and say the wrong shit to the wrong person" picking up my bags about to walk away when he stopped us again

" well if you say so, but anyways shai their a party tonight at the lake bring who ever you wont preferably not her" he says giving me this stank look

" what the fuck does that mean" hissed at him

" nothing, I'll catch yall later. Hey boys I'm coming now" he said averting his attention from us to his friend that had been waiting for him while walking away

I kinda dont think shai wants to take me cause she didnt defend me when Leon questioned to take me but its okay I didnt even want to go in the first place i have other things to do

" so what time should I pick you up?" she asked me

" oh you want me to go with you?"

" ofcourse your my bestfriend who the hell else would I take, I barely like the bitchs in our school let alone on my cheer squad" she explain while we continued to walk

" I don't know I still have to go see my family and my dad so maybe after that, soooooo around like 9-9:30" I informed her

" okay where something cute from what we just brought, and I know u got alot of cute shit cause I just picked them out" she said smiling at me

" okay bitch" returning the smile

Then we continued on our shopping, until she dropped me back at home when I instantly left to go see my moms family and daddy's grave site.
