The Story Of Riley

After a long and tiring day of showing the new kid Luca the school, I didn't realize the place was so damn huge. We had been walking around the whole day, besides when we stopped to get lunch during the lunch period, and now we are heading into the gym to meet his last period teacher.

He opened the big gym doors and all the students stopped in place to stare in our direction. I couldn't figure out if they were looking at me or Luca, but it was probably Luca cause he's fresh meat and cute. Luca didn't seem to care though he just kept walking not glancing at anyone but me.

I wish I could lie and say my insides weren't heating up with all the attention from the kid and yet it would just be a lie.

I was so deep in thought, I didn't even notice the volleyball coming straight towards me.

BOOM! Right in the face and on my ass I fell. The whole gym erupted in laughter. I was holding my nose and trying not to cry from the embarrassment. Then my vision started to become blurry, since I was hella close to passing out.

Last thing I remembered before everything went black was Luca rushing over to me, picking me up, and carrying me out the gym to the nurses office.

Lucas POV
"Hey hey can I get some help please!" I stated placing Riley down on a table nearby the office door.

"What seems to be the problem?" some kid that looked about my age asked me. I wondered why he was even there and why I was speaking with him instead of the nurse cause I know he wasn't old enough to be checking on Riley.

"Um I rather speak with the nurse she more qualified no offense" I responded towards him

"She not in right now and I'm her teachers assistant, so I'm the best you've got right now to help your friend" he stated pulling out a form from behind his desk

"Ok she right here" walking back over to Riley, who was slowing regaining consciousness

"Oh shit Riley" the spike spike rushing passed me. How did they know each other it didn't seem like she would fit inside their crowd if you know what I mean.

When he rushed up to her Riley instantly latched on to his body. You could tell she felt safe with him, it also showed he cared for her deeply, which put me in an awkward ass position right now.

I couldn't understand it their was something about Riley, she has such an impact on me when I already have a girlfriend. I just want to make sure she's okay all the time and we've only meet twice.

"Hey is everything okay" I said looking between Riley and the boy

"Oh my god Luca I'm so sorry to ruin your day, I wasn't expecting to get hit by a ball I was just distracted, then boom out of now where I'm in the floor unconscious, yk" Riley said playing with he nails and hitting her lip while ranting about the whole gym situation

" no don't say that Riley *walking to her more* you could never ruin my day" by this point I was kneeled down in front of her placing my hands on top of her's and lifting her chin to look at me, so she can see that nothing was her fault.

" but I can't help to think it was" "I promise you it wasn't" showing my thousand dollar smile.

Back to Riley POV
Caught up in Lucas eyes and smile, when did notice Leon clearing his throat. " oh so sorry Luca this is Leon, Leon this is Luca. He's new here it's his first day"

"Oh hey man what school you came from" Leon asked dapping Luca up to greet him properly "none before this I was always home schooled". wow I didn't know that either I just figured he transfer and was going to therapy.

"Damn that must have sucked" Leon spoke

"Sometimes, but I still got out and hanged with my friends that were also home schooled" Luca retorted

"Oh cool, but ima have to have y'all leave, if you guys stay any longer me and the nurse could get in-trouble and they use the "you guys were skipping" excuse often"

" okay no problem, thank you Leon I really appreciate it" I stated looking him in the eyes and playing with my nails again

"Ummmhmmm I guess, remember to go get you head check for a concussion " he said averting his head and going back to his work.

Wait, hold the fuck up, what was that? Is he upset right now I'm not understanding. Like why is he being so mean to me what did I ever do to him. Then he was the nerve to say "ummmmhmmm I guess" I bet if abigal was in here he would give her his attention the whole time. You know fuck Leon and his stupid ass. I'm tired of caring for a nigga that doesn't care for me at all it's so exhausting I don't know how I put up with it this long.

"Yah no problem, let's go Luca so we would finish your tour" I said in a whisper tone before walking out the nurses office, without glancing back at Leon.
