Chapter Sixteen

Lahat ay nagpunta na sa labas upang doon ipagpatuloy ang kasiyahan.

Maynagsasayawan, may bandang tutugtog at lahat ng tao ay masaya.

Syempre lalong masaya ang birthday celebrant.

Makikita sa mata ni Vice kung gaano siya kasaya na napasaya niya ang kanyang ina.
Sa isang tabi naman ay nandoon si Dawn, Pops at Martin na masayang nagkwekwentohan,

Siya namang dating ni Richard at agad na lumapit sa asawa at sumali sa kwentohan.

Masaya silang lahat,..

Bukod kay Aga, na di mapigilang tingnan si Lea na nakikipag usap sa ibang bisita.

Ang ganda niya...

Ang saya niya...

Parang ok na talaga siya,..

Napapaisip na tuloy si Aga kung mahal niya ba talaga si Charlene...

Huminga siya ng malalim.

"Hindi, mahal ko si Charlene, mahal ko siya." tanging nasambit niya magisa.

Lea's POV

It's my turn to sing, I'm just here at the side of the stage. Tatawagin lang daw ako.

Dawn is with Chard na, alam mo give time, naks akala mo naman di sila magsasama. I'm just waiting for my turn.

His staring at me kanina no!, I saw him, di kami nagusap ngayon. Yung formal greeting lang kanina yun lang.

His really happy, I can feel it.

His jolly again and his back on his old shape. Mas pumayat na siya ngayon. Of course his doing movie na kasi diba.

Ba't ko ba siya iniisip? Hayyy. Erase na to.

"Erase, erase, erase!" I said to my self.

"The next to perform here, ay syempre kaibigan ito ni Vice at super close sa ating birthday celebrant." the emcee started.

Ako na to, it's my turn. Smile ka girl, ng makita niya dimples mo.

"The one and only, Broadway Diva, Ms. Lea Salonga" the emcee intoduces.

Then they all clap their hands..

I walk in the center of the stage and put my biggest smile.

"Whoooooo Lea!!!" Vice and Dawn shouted.

They are really a supportive friends, grabee. Di naman to contest ano ba.

"Good evening everybody, It's so nice to be here, of course let me say Happy Birthday to you Tita Rosario, it's really a pleasure to be singing here, I wish you the best and more birthdays to come." I happily said.

"Let me sing this song for all of you, and ito ang request ng birthday celebrant" I continued..

The band started to play, and everybody gave their applause again.

I started to sing..

Look at me
I will never pass for a perfect bride...
Or a perfect daughter
Can it be I'm not meant to play this part
Now I see
That if I were truly to be myself, I would break my family's heart......

Aga's POV..

Now Lea is singing, She's singing her one of the best songs, one of the best songs I've ever heard.

She's like an angel...

She was my angel,, before....

Who is that girl I see
Staring straight, back at me
Why is my reflection someone I don't know
