i wish i'd had the courage
to kiss you back then
when the opportunity
presented itself
but i was too afraid
to take it.
if i'd had the courage
to kiss you back then
i could have shown you
just how i feel
and then have no regrets
like i do now.
i wish i'd had the courage

because i wanted too
so very much
but my nerves
just got the better of me.
if i'd had the courage
to kiss you back then
maybe things
could have been different
but maybe i am just
deceiving myself.
