The next day was, once again, due to be a training session and, once again, both of them got ready for a tiring day ahead of them.
This time, Taehyung reached first and was shocked to find that Jungkook hadn't arrived yet. With a shrug, he sat down near the boxing bag as he clearly remembered that Jungkook told him that they would be practicing punches today.
It was 7:08 am when Jungkook came hurrying down the stairs to the basement, looking disheveled and panicked.
"Ho ho ho, relax. It seems like you have missed a plane or something." Taehyung said as he stood up.
"I hate getting late." Jungkook said while he put his hands on his knees, gasping heavily.
"Chill, Mr. Perfectionist. You REALLY need to know how to take things a little easy or you won't be able to live life with fun."
"We are not talking about how I am going to live my life. We are here to train and you are my trainee, not my fucking therapist." Jungkook's eyes were like a glass, making his anger visible to Taehyung.
"Ouch! That hurt. What made you so salty?" Taehyung questioned.
"You."
"You are kidding, right? Nice joke, though." Taehyung laughed awkwardly.
Jungkook ignored him and walked towards the boxing bag and threw some boxing gloves towards Taehyung's directions, who catched them securely.
"We are not going to practice on the punching bag today. Since you are not good at it or, to be frank, you suck at it, I am going to teach you techniques.
"Mhm." Taehyung nodded.
"Come closer. You are standing so far away. How do you plan to learn like that?"
"Don't scold me, dude. And, what the fuck, stop being so rude!"
When Taehyung stood in front of Jungkook, he looked in the latter's eyes and said, "Punch me."
"What?" Taehyung stared at him.
"I said punch me."
"It can harm you, you know."
"Just do it." Impatience started growing on Jungkook like an algae on debris.
With some hesitation, Taehyung got ready and brought his hand towards Jungkook with a little force and...it was caught by his trainer.
"Put all of your force in it."
"Okay."
And Taehyung tried once again, bringing his hand towards Jungkook and his hand was caught once again.
"More! More force."
Taehyung did punch with maximum of his energy and power but maybe it wasn't enough so he tried once again, splitting his gloved hand through the air towards his trainer's mouth but Jungkook caught his hand once again.
"I refuse to believe that this is all of your strength. Aren't you listening to me? Are my words and instructions a joke to you? Stop kidding around and be serious!" Jungkook loudly shouted at Taehyung.
"Okay, that's it! You have been rude since the beginning of this training session. I don't even know the reason! I thought that... listening to my story, you would treat me better but here you are, saying that I am a disappointment. Wow!" Taehyung laughed despite the shock, hurt and anger he was feeling.
He went on, "IF I AM A DISAPPOINTMENT, THEN YOU ARE HERE TO CORRECT ME. YOU ARE HERE TO MAKE ME A BETTER VERSION OF MYSELF. BUT YOU HAVE ALREADY LOST HOPE IN ME TOO. SORRY THAT I EXPECTED MORE FROM YOU."
All this while, Taehyung didn't cry nor he let any tears to fill his almond eyes. His face went totally blank, so that Jungkook couldn't see the jumble of emotions he was feeling inside.
On the other hand, Jungkook was surprised himself as he didn't want to say such things. Heck, he didn't even think like that. But he himself was feeling upset since last night but he couldn't decipher the reason.
After shouting at Jungkook, Taehyung was going to leave the room but when the other said, "Taehyung," in a low voice which was filled with hurt, Taehyung turned around to see Jungkook looking at him with pain and hurt openly displayed on his face.
"Taehyung."
Jungkook said that again in the same voice he had used before. And Taehyung instantly felt bad for shouting at Jungkook and saying such harsh words but he didn't apologize nor did he say anything. He just stood there looking at his trainer, waiting for him to say something.
"I am sorry, Taehyung. I don't why I said those things because, trust me, I never even thought about them. You are not a disappointment, Tae."
With that tone of voice and all the emotions exposed on his face like a piece of art, it was almost impossible for Taehyung to not believe Jungkook...so he did believe him. He believed him because, after all these years of meeting different kinds of people, he knew that he wasn't lying or faking anything.
So with a smile on his, which was enough to release all the tension, and pain in Jungkook, he went towards his trainer, ready to forget it all. Ready to trust him with everything. Ready to give Jungkook his heart.
There is nothing more a person needs than understanding and sympathy to fall in love. And that's what happened with Taehyung. Even if it is not love, just a mere likeness, it still is a beginning!
