Chapter 29

Taehyung sensed there was tension going through the whole family when he sat down for dinner on Monday. Even though everyone was chatting a little bit, his father's face looked hard with stress and tension.

He glanced at Jin and saw the same worry mirrored in his brother's eyes that he, himself, was feeling. But Jin was trying his best to keep the tension away from all of them.

Yoongi, on the other hand, wasn't speaking but he was staring at their father with a blank expression. He didn't show his emotions clearly but Taehyung knew, after living with him for 22 years, that he was going through stress himself.

After a while, everyone started eating and the conversation died down. There was comfortable silence surrounding the habitants of the mansion but Kim Ji-hoon's sons anticipated that their father would definitely drop some bad news.

Taehyung avoided looking at Jungkook, who was sitting beside him. Because of today's training session, whenever he looked at the other, he instantly got flashbacks causing him to feel flustered

A lot had happened today between them, in the span of only 4 hours and Taehyung didn't know how to react to the unusual closeness, obvious hints that were given to him, and the tons of feelings inside his heart.

Before he could think about it some more, his father, finally, said, "I have something to tell you all."

All of them looked at him in sync with anticipation and concern in their eyes- at least, 3 of them had.

"Yes, father?" Jin asked.

Ji-hoon sighed before saying, "A lot of money have been stole from my bank account."

"WHAT?" Taehyung shouted.

"Yes. I don't know how but when I checked my bank account, as I daily do, I saw that the amount was decreased a lot from yesterday."

"But, father, how did that happen?" Yoongi asked, dumbstruck.

"I don't know. Maybe someone hacked it." Ji-hoon said, the worry lines etched deep on his forehead.

"Is that even possible? Never heard of anyone who hacked a bank account, and you are a gangster." Jin said.

"It is rare but it is possible. If someone is professional in the field of computers and programs, than it would be possible for them to successfully do this."

"I am really sorry for your loss. I know my words don't mean much, and I can't do anything but I am sincerely feel sorrowful for you."

All of them looked at Jungkook who had spoken the words. Taehyung felt respect and gratitude invade his heart for Jungkook, because it was obvious that he really meant his words, with the sincere sadness in his eyes and the worried frown exposed to everyone.

"Thank you, Jungkook." Ji-hoon gratefully smiled and then said to his sons, "I want you all to focus more on your ongoing training of your particular fields and to help me with this mafia business. It is obvious that I need as much help as I can get. Meanwhile, I will look into this matter."

"Any ideas who did it, father?" Jin asked.

"I can't say. There are many enemies of mine, lurking around the corners, waiting for an opportunity to attack me and it isn't possible to say who has done it." These were the last words of his before he stood up and went towards his office, already having finished his dinner.

Taehyung looked at his brothers and knew that they all were feeling the same tremendous tension that he was experiencing.

Jungkook was proud of himself that he put such a great act in front of everyone and, probably, all of them had thought that the feelings he had shown were the emotions that he felt.

But the feelings couldn't be more faux.

Jungkook was feeling happy, satisfied, and victorious when Ji-hoon was discussing all of his problems.

Not in a million years, would Kim Ji-hoon have thought that the person who had done all of this, who had brought such hard times upon him, was sitting in his own house, enjoying the view of the pain which was imposed on himself.
