(Why do I never do Tyler’s POV…?)

Tyler’s POV-

*Time skip to Monday back at school*

Troye has been weird and snappy all weekend. I don’t know if it was something I said but he is being all distant.

“Troye?” I call timidly. We have school in a few minutes but he is still sleeping. I don’t want to make him mad though. I nudge him lightly and he rolls over and looks at me.

“What?” he asks dryly.

“Umm it’s just we have school in like ten minutes,” I reply.

“I’m not going,” Troye says and rolls over.

“Why?” I ask.

“DO I HAVE TO EXPLAIN MYSELF?!” Troye snaps at me and I see his eyes go darker blue. I stumble backwards.

“So-sorry, I was just worried, sorry,” I say and run outside, holding back the feelings that have been building up from Troye’s snappy replies all weekend. I don’t know what has gotten into him. I walk briskly down the hallway, pushing my bad farther up on my shoulders. Fine. Fine. He can miss school. Not my fault.

I walk into my homeroom a few moments later and sit down.

“Tyler?” a small voice asks. I look up and see Zoe gazing down at me curiously. I give her a weak smile and nod.

"Yeah, just tired,” I lie and she nods slowly.

“Okay. Well, are you ready for our spells test today! I was up late working on mine! It’s just defense today?” Zoe says, snapping her fingers quietly.

“Umm, I think you have to do the attacks with your partner, but the attacks are not graded, so yeah just defense,” I explain and Zoe taps her chin in thought.

“So, how are you and Troye?” Zoe asks with a wink. Zoe and Connor are my only friends I have told about my crush on Troye. I trust them so much.

“Don’t want to talk about that right now,” I snap and instantly feel bad. Zoe means no harm and I know that,” Sorry he is just being so distant and it’s worrying me.”

“I’m sorry to hear that, Tyler,” Zoe says and hugs me.

“Hear what?” Troye says and I open my eyes to see Troye standing there awkwardly.

“Oh, nothing,” Zoe mumbles uncomfortably and lets go of me. She ever completely warmed up to Troye but she is nice for my sake. Like all my other friends, but she puts on the best show.

“Ok. Tyler, can I talk to you?” Troye asks and stares at me. Zoe backs away and starts to walk off.

“See you guys at lunch,” Zoe calls and walks over to Alfie.

“What do you want?” I ask Troye coldly.

“Can you just come with me,” Troye states and starts walking off, not even bothering to see if I would follow. Of course I would.

I follow Troye out of the classroom and into the bustling hallways. He leads me to a door and opens it. I never knew about this, it’s a staircase leading up. He motions for me to start up them and I do. He closes the door behind us and the small space goes absolutely dark.

“Troye?” I ask timidly, my heartbeat increasing in the dark space. I try to spark some light in my pals, but my powers seem to be drained. I start to worry but I hear a snap then see light. Troye is next to me with small flame dancing along his hand.

“Just trust me ok, we’re going up,” Troye says and starts walking up the stairs. I recollect my thoughts and follow Troye up the stairs. We walk up a few flights of stairs until we reach a door. Troye opens it and light floods inside. Troye closes off the flame in his hand and we walk out into the open. I look around, confused. We must be on the roof. I start walking over to the ledge but Troye grabs my hand and yanks me back.
