Troye's POV-

I pull away from Tyler relunctantly, but any longer and it would be wierd. I give him a warm smile and he returns one equally as bright. I feel tired still. I look at the time on my phone, around 6.

"Hey, they're still serving dinner, wanna go grab some?" I ask Tyler.

"Yeah, if you're up to it," Tyler replies with a smile, standing up and sliding on some Toms. I pull on some old converse and lace them up. Tyler and I walk out and down the corridor towards the dining hall. We join the crowds of people waiting. Soon we gfet our food, burgers, and find Tyler's friends. I am beginning to take a liking to this Zoe girl, Tyler's only friends who doesn't act like they are scared of me.

Tyler and I are laughing and chatting when soemone walks over to him and taps his shoulder . I don't recognize him immediately but then I remember it's because I aavoid him. He bullies anyone and everyone.

"So you chose this loser over me, probably becasue you're a scared bitch," he says coldly, almost like he is jealous.

"Excuse me," Tyler says, standing up. The guy smirks evily at him and cocks his head to the side.

"Weren't you?"

"I'm not scared of you," Tyler declares and stares him down, clenching his fists tightly.

"Then why don't we take this outside," he says and Tyler smiles tightly. I begin to stand but Tyler pushes me back down.

"Stay here," Tyler says before walking after the guy.

"Troye you have to stop worrying, Tyler is a strong guy. You're setting the fire on table!" Zoe screeches and quickly molds dirt over the flame and looks at me hopelessly," You really care about him, don't you?"

"Yeah," I reply quietly. It has been almost 15 minutes and Tyler is still not back. I begin to get anxious and I keep glancing at the clock.

Tyler's POV-

(Possibly triggering)

I am following the stupid guy I thought I avoided earlier, Sam. I should've known he would of come after me after leaving him to be that kid. The kid wth no roommate. Everyone looked down on the kids without roommates, like they were anything less. I didn't see the big deal. But here I am, readying my light powers for a fight.

"So, why did you choose that idiot over me?" Sam says sharply.

"You don't have any way of knowing that."

"Yes I do. I made your friends make your choices very limited. I never thought you would pick that horrible excuse for an angel."

"First of all, he is not a horrible excuse for an angel, you are. Second, nobody likes rooming with a bully and third, don't you think that sounds a bit like stalking whjat you did?" I say cruelly.

I see him flinch away for a moment at my sudden confidence but he is soon fuming with anger.

"You'll pay for this Tyler Oakley."

"I'm stronger than you," I say matter of factly.

"But not strong enough to protect Troye from the gaurdians."

"Why would I have to do that?" I say, fear rising in my throat. Does he know?

"I know about his powers."

"What powers? Yeah everyone knows he is a fire," maybe I can play this off.

'No. I know he is more than a fire."
