**A/N Okay another update. Hope y'all like. This was going to be another update for the new year but it's a little past now. Had to face time my mommy for the the new year. Yes I'm a grown woman that still has to talk to her mommy on the special occassions and more. Here's the next chapter of Papa's Girl.**
Papá was patched up and now resting in his tent. I was sitting next to him when Andrea walked in. "Brought you a book," she said handing it to Papá.
"Sugar tits, you don't know me that well at all do ya?" She looked at him confused. "I like my books with more pictures in 'em, preferably with naked women on every page." He laughed.
"Ewww, Papá!" I scolded, "Do you have to be gross?" Andrea started to leave now.
"Bella, why don't you go see what yer sorry ass uncle is up to and let Blondie here heal me up right?" I looked at Andrea and we both rolled our eyes.
"I came to apologize," she started, "But it's clear you're not to hurt by me shooting you."
"All's forgiven with a little lovin'." I rolled my eyes and groaned again.
"Please stop!" He laughed before looking back up at Andrea.
"Seriously, we're good Blondie." She started to leave again when I spoke up.
"Hey," I said, "Shoot him again, and you better make sure you kill us both." I smiled at her which she returned before walking out.
"Hey Izzy," Shane called, "You comin' with us for gun training?"
"Bitch, I know how to shoot. You think having Merle Dixon for a father I didn't grow up learnin' that shit. And don't call me Izzy asshole." He threw his hands up in the air. "My bad, just figured maybe it would give us a chance to spend some time together. You're not still mad at me are ya? I told you I was staying for you." He smiled at me. I could feel myself melting. This man did things to me that I didn't want to admit to. Lori walked up before I could answer. "You're staying because I asked you too," she blurted out smiling devilishly at me. I walked away at this point. I really didn't want to be around Whori any longer than I had to be. I watched from the roof of the RV as they pulled out for their gun training. Part of me wished that I was going with them and the other part of me was glad they were gone.
Hours later the group arrived back at the farm minus Shane and Andrea. "Where's Shane?" I asked Rick. He chuckled a little before answering me.
"He's fine. He and Andrea are checking a subdivision north of here for Sophia." I looked at him trying to hide the jealousy I was feeling and seeing that it wasn't working. "It'll be fine. Shane will be back and you two can finish whatever it is you need to finish."
"Shut up Officer Friendly, you don't know me." It irritated me to no end that he had figured me out that easily.
That green Hyundai pulled into the drive and I jumped down to run out to meet Shane. When I got close Dale was already there asking them what happened out there. "Nothing," Andrea replied with a smile on her face and looking over to Shane. He grinned at her before walking away. 'That son of a bitch!' I thought as I glared at him and Andrea. Before he walked off he noticed me and walked up to me smiling, "Izzy," he said, "You came out to welcome me back." I slapped him.
"Maiale del cazzo!" I screamed at him, "I told you not to call me that! I hate you, stay away from me!" I stomped off storming past papa and Uncle Daryl who stared at me. I heard Papá's footsteps behind me but I didn't stop. "Bella Rose," Papá called after me but I didn't turn around. I didn't want to talk to him about this. I didn't want to have to deal with any of this.
I found myself out by the barn. How could he be so arrogant? How could he be so infatuated with me one minute and screwing around with Andrea the next? I kicked a rock and it went soaring through the air striking the barn door. I thought for a second I heard some familiar moans coming from inside but then Rick's voice sang out, "You okay?" I jumped but kept my eyes on the barn.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I told him, "Why do you ask?"
"Because I've known Shane for a long time. I know how he is. I know him and Lori have had something going on. I'm not stupid, but apparently they think so because they keep acting like nothing's different." My heart just broke for this man. "I'm sorry," I told him, "That must really suck. Being married to her and knowing that she was screwing around with your best friend." He nodded and dropped his head staring at the ground. "I'm sorry, that was really sucky of me to say." He took a step closer and put his hand up to my chin lifting it so I was staring into his crystal clear blue eyes. He didn't say a word. He just leaned in and pressed his lips to mine. He pulled back, his eyes still on the ground, "I'm sorry Isabella," he started, "I shouldn't have done that. I'm married, but I'm lonely. Can you forgive me?" I placed a hand on his cheek and smiled at him. He was such a kind hearted man, how could he be with someone like Lori? "I'm really sorry. I can't do this. I thought I could but I can't." I nodded to him.
The next morning we were all sitting around having breakfast when Glenn stood up moving to the center of our circle. "Guys," he started, "Um, the barn's full of walkers." Everyone dropped their utensils and looked at the skittish little Asian boy. Everyone jumped up and ran out to the barn with Shane in the lead. He peeked through a crack in the door as we all looked on. He suddenly jumped back as a walker jumped at the door. "You can't tell me you're okay with this?" Shane looked at Rick. Rick glanced over at me before answering, "No, but this is Hershel's land we have to talk him into it." Shane laughed. I stepped up, "Ease up man." I told him grinding my teeth, "He's right. We have to ease Hershel into this. He's not ready for this." Shane scoffed as he paced back and forth.
"Like it or not, this is not your call, Shane." Rick told him, "I'll handle this." Rick walked away at this point and Shane just stared at him. He finally looked at me, "You seriously gonna agree with Rick on this?" I nodded to him and caught a glimpse of Lori out of the corner of my eye. As everyone dispersed Shane moved closer to me, "You're not gonna have my back on this?" I shook my head at him before answering.
"No, because you're wrong. Just going in there and wiping 'em all out is not the way to handle this situation." He rolled his eyes at me and shoved me as he walked past me. I wanted to stop him but I couldn't. I knew Rick was right about this and after whatever it was that happened between him and Andrea yesterday I didn't know that I wanted to take his side on anything, ever. That kiss from Rick was weighing on my mind too. Rick was different from Shane. Shane has expressed his interest in me, but Rick with just one kiss has proven that he is the more faithful, more trustworthy. How could I begrudge him it's not like we're married, hell we aren't even dating. Now that I've had that moment with Rick how could I be mad at Shane for his escapade with Andrea?
