"Has she said anything," Lori asked Shane. He shook his head. "Maybe she is in shock." Shane stood up and glanced at this beautiful girl sitting in front of him. Her beauty took his breath away but he had Lori and Carl. With Rick gone they were his family now.

"Maybe." He squatted down in front of her again, "You got a name?" She just looked at him like she had no idea what was going on. Finally she spoke and he realized that she didn't understand.

"Non capisco," she told him.

"So you don't speak english," Shane muttered, "What...is...your...name?" He said loudly and slowly. She hated when people did that. When they realize you don't speak their language they immediately start talking to you like you're an idiot.

"Shane," Lori spoke up, "She's not an idiot, she doesn't speak English. Talking to her like that isn't going to help." The girl smiled at that. 'I think I'm going to like this Lori chick.' She thought. Lori noticed her smile, "Did you understand me?"

She just got up and walked away. She didn't know these people yet. She wanted to pretend a little longer that she didn't understand so she could figure out whether or not she could trust these people.

Lori put her hand up to stop Shane from going after her. "Let me," she said, "I think you've offended her enough for today." Lori smiled at Shane before turning to follow this new girl. She was trying to be nice but the way Shane looked at her made her blood run cold. She was so jealous of this girl.

Lori followed her into her tent, "What's your name?" She quickly turned around startled that Lori had followed her. "I'm Lori," she started and then pointed to the new girl waiting for a reply or acknowledgement that she understood.

"Mi chiamo Isabella Rosa," she finally spoke.

Lori smiled. "Welcome Isabella," she said as she stuck out her hand. Isabella took it and shook.

"Grazie," she replied.

A siren wailed as it made it's way up to the camp. "Talk to me Dale," Shane said.

"Stolen car is my guess." A young Asian guy jumped out with a huge smile on his face.

"Are you crazy, drivin' this wheelin' bastard up here? You tryin' to draw every walker for miles?" Shane yelled at him. Dale yelled at him to shut it off.

"I don't know how!"

"Pop the hood," Shane yelled as he slammed his palm on the hood of the car, "Pop the damn hood!" After they stopped the alarm from going off Shane asked, "How'd y'all get outta there?"

"New guy, he got us out." He said as he nodded toward the van that had just pulled up. Everyone turned to look at the people getting out of the van.

"Dad!" Lori's kid yelled running into the arms of a man in a sheriff's uniform. Lori hesitated for a second looking at Shane before joining the boy in his father's arms. Shane smiled but it was obvious his heart was breaking. I started thinking of my own father. It has been so long since I'd seen him last. He wasn't around all the time but he made sure that I knew how much he loved me. He was a good dad but he loved his drugs too. He always stayed clean when I was around but I knew that was always the reason he had to leave. I felt a tear slip down my cheek and quickly wiped it away. I had to get out if here before anyone saw me.
