Anne's POV
I'm going to Cathy's house and I'm really excited. Me and Cathy have been best friends since I was five but now I've been feeling different around Cathy. The girls in my class are always talking about this new boy Henry but I don't think he's cute. One time Cathy told me about the girls always talk about this one boy named Thomas. I don't get what is so special about boys. Any way we get to Cathy's house and I knock on the door. She comes up and hugs me and I feel that weird feeling again. "Annie are you ok?" She asks and I nod.
Anna's POV
Anne practically runs up to Cathy's house and Cathy opens the door and pulls Anne into a hug. When Anne turns around to see where we were I see blush painting her cheeks. "Hey Lina! Hey Jane!" Kat calls out when we get to the door. "Oh hi loves it's nice to see you guys again!" Jane says as she gestures for us to come in. We walk in and see Anne already running up to Cathy's room. "Anne has fallen so far..." Kat says giggling. "I think Cathy has fallen harder." Lina says from the kitchen. "You summoned me?" Cathy asks from the top of the staircase. "No we didn't go back and entertain Anne" Jane says and Kat immediately bursts out in laughter. "Katherine get your mind out of the gutter Anne is only eight." I say playfully pushing my wife. "Girls dinners ready!" Lina calls from the kitchen. I see the girls run out of Cathy's room. Anne almost falls but Cathy catches her.
Cathy's POV
I rush downstairs to get dinner and we all fall into normal conversation. That is until Kat asks "Any boys catch your eyes?" I choke on the water I'm drinking. Anne looks at me but then she shakes her head. "Cath you ok?" Anna asks to which I nod. I finish off with one last cough. "I'm gonna take that as a no." Mum says. "Lina there is a higher chance she has a crush on Harry Potter by the amount of time she spends reading." Mama says. I look away know that that is in no way, shape, or form true. Because I have a crush on Anne Howard.
Two year time skip
Lina's POV
"Janie, do you think Cathy might be gay?" I ask Jane much later into the night. "At least some form of poly..." Jane says. "I hate to force labels but I don't think she's straight" I say while helping Jane up so we can fall asleep on our bed. "I never thought I would have to think of that" Jane says.
We fall asleep in each others arms and we wake up to birds chirping. We walk downstairs and start getting ready. Later that day Cathy walks downstairs and I can tell something is bothering her. "Love, what's up?" I ask.
Cathy's POV
"I've thought this over for a while but I think I'm a lesbian but I prefer the label queer or gay." I say immediately regretting it. "Well that's not what I was expecting" Mama says and Mum hugs me. "Does anyone else know?" Mum asks. "Only Annie..." I say.
Three year time skip
Anne's POV
"Cathy I know this might sound weird but I like you and I have since I was eight..." I say bracing myself for rejection but instead I get a soft pair of lips on mine. " I kiss back until air became necessary. "Me too" she says.
One month time skip
"Annie what is on your neck?" Mum asks me. "Kitty come 'ere" She says causing me to worry. I knew exactly what she was referring to. "Yeah baby." Mom says to Mum. "Anne you're still to young to do that with boys."Anna says. I smirk and say "How about with girls" I ask just to see Anna freeze. "I'm with Catherine Seymour..."
Time skip to where Cathy is 23 and Anne is 21
"I can't believe she ours now" I say to my wife while holding our daughter. "I love you" she whispers into my ear. "I love you too" I respond.
