Anne's POV
"Anne before we go to my moms place I think you should know something. And it might cause you to break up with me but..." Cathy starts as we get in the car "I'm trans and she hasn't seen me since I left home which was a year before I figured out I was trans." She admits. I look at her confused and she nods and looks down. Then things started to click, like why she was so secretive of a certain medication she took that must have been estrogen, or why she hated public bathrooms so much. I rub her back and I put my finger under her chin and turn her head to face me. I peck her lips and she gladly returns the favor.
"So you aren't mad at me for not telling you?" She asks and that question almost brought me to tears. Her voice sounded so broken and sad. "Of course I'm not and it doesn't change anything." I say while I rub her shoulder. "Baby we gotta move if we wanna be at my moms house by three." she says and I pull my hand back and she giggles a little and turns on the car.

Cathy's POV
I knock on the door to my moms house, the one I left when I was only eighteen. "Hello ladies." She says to us when she finally opens the door. "Oh Anne hi! Who have you brought with you?" She asks Anne. She must recognize Anne from a prayer group I never went to. "Oh hello Catherine!" Anne says cheerfully. I stay at the door awkwardly as they greet each other. "Oh and this with me is my girlfriend." She says like my mother would recognize me. "Mum it's me, Christian." I say stepping in. "Chris?" She says "Cath" I correct "Catherine" I say confirming my real name. I see Anne looking at us with the 'awwww' eyes. "Mom I'm a girl" I say and she hugs me and I hug back but softer.
Then Mary comes downstairs our old friend Janie behind her. "Anne? CHRIS!?" Mary says bolting towards me and hugging me. "Catherine" I say telling her my newer name. "I knew I was gay." Janie says from behind her. "Huh?" Me and Mary ask. "When we were little I liked Catherine but since she presented as a dude I assumed I was normal and liked boys but then Mary came along and I really liked her so I guess I thought I was bi but then I never had a crush on a dude again so then I thought Chris was an exception and it turns out she's a girl." Janie explains. "And also how much was that top surgery because damn-" Janie starts but is cut off by Anne clearing her throat and Mary aggressively face palming.
