Yasuhiro Hagakure ran with Aoi Asahina and Makoto Naegi in the halls. Well- not exactly- Aoi had to carry Makoto, because if he ran in the halls, he would be poisoned and die, due to the bracelet around his left wrist.
All three of them had these bracelets on, and doing certain actions could lead to them being poisoned as well. Makoto couldn't run in the halls, Aoi couldn't be hit by a punch or a kick, and Hiro couldn't touch clear objects. Everyone in the building had one of these deadly devices on themselves.
Other than the main six survivors, there were also all the Future Foundation Branch heads somewhere within the structure. So far it came to a bloody start.
They had been trapped in the future foundation meeting room, even people who originally weren't even supposed to be there, but had been tricked into it.
Then Monokuma had come up on every screen in the room, explaining to everyone how the bracelets freshly clamped on their arms, would kill you, if you did something that it told you specifically not to do.
The bracelets also had a timer. At the end of this timer a sound would alert all 'participants' in the 'game' would be injected with a sleeping mixture and they would all collapse. That is, all except one person, who had to kill someone each time the other participants fell asleep.
If one sleep occurred and no one was killed, the remaining participants won and would be allowed to live. The game would end.
A little counter could be seen next to the biggest screen Monokuma had appeared on. Monokuma explained that this was the count of remaining participants. Since everyone was alive, the counter read 21.
But now as they ran, that counter had gone down significantly. It now read 10.
Eleven people had died. And now there were only 10 left, to be killed off one by one.
They were currently avoiding being bashed to death by Juzo Sakakura. He was holding a pipe as he had done before, and running at full speed towards them, ready to strike when necessary.
Before, Aoi had defended Makoto by retorting with her own pipe. This time was different however, because Juzo seemed dead set on destroying them, even though he was heavily injured. They all hoped they would either outrun him or find somewhere to hide.
Hiro had shouted out in fright, and was rambling all the way down the hall, making it hard for someone not to hear him, "I NEVER EXPECTED WE'D BE BACK HERE OF ALL PLACES! WHY DO WE HAVE TO GO AROUND KILLING EACH OTHER AGAIN?!"
Aoi tried to calm him down, "Yelling about our problems isn't going to make them magically disappear! Get a grip and quiet down or we'll never make it out alive!"
They continued their running, but they could only do so much of it. Their legs were beginning to ache. Juzo seemed to be getting closer with each step. They turned the corner before-
''Augh!"
-They all fell face first into rubble. They didn't realize they were this close to the blown up exits. They tried frantically to get back up but Juzo stood right behind them. Or rather, hunched over them.
Close up they could see that his shoulder had been badly wounded and blood soaked most of his jacket. He grinned as they helplessly tried getting up.
"It's no use... don't try... to run... anymore... I'm finally going... to kill you..." Juzo wheezed.
The run had clearly worn him out, though he seemed proud of himself for catching them.
He lifted the metal pipe in his hand and swiftly brought it down upon them.
Just as he was going to bash Aoi's head in, a strange noise was heard somewhere behind Juzo, followed by the sound of something small slicing through the air and juzo fell to the ground, dropping the pipe only inches away from Ali's feet.
A high, crazy voice shouted out behind them. It seemed oddly familiar.
"Ahahahahah- I haven't felt this kind of rush in ages! Why won't you let me kill more? I could kill those guys too-"
Another voice rang out quickly and nervously.
"No- don't kill them- our friends remember! That's my brother you know!"
The crazy voice seemed disappointed, but agreed, "fine fine I won't kill them. It would probably disappoint my master if I killed them. Maybe not the crazy fortune teller- can I kill him? Please? Please?"
The two voices continued arguing. Makoto looked behind him, and was relieved. He spoke up, "Guys it's okay! It's just Toko and Komaru!"
Aoi and Hiro looked up as well. Sure enough, Komaru Naegi was arguing with Genocide Jill.
"Killing him won't hurt anyone! He's useless anyways!"
"It's not good to kill people though! Ugh, why can't you change back already..."
"Hey, I just saved your friends from instant death! Surely you don't want that idiot back yet!"
Makoto smiled but remembered that it wasn't safe to yell, "guys quiet down! We don't want anyone else coming over and finding us."
Komaru and Genocide Jill looked up and stopped arguing at this. They walked over and helped each of them out of the rubble. Komaru kept as far away from the rubble as possible.
Once each of them was out, they brushed themselves off and sat down to rest. Aoi checked her bracelet.
"Still about 30 minuites until the fourth time limit."
Genocide's eyes widened slightly at this, "Fourth? Eleven people have died in only four rounds?"
"Yeah... the beginning was pretty brutal. You missed it because Toko was around." Aoi explained and leaned against the wall behind her, "Quite a few people got angry at each other... a lot of them died..."
"We didn't see who was dying because we were already running out of there due to the chaos. Ever since we've just tried staying out of people's way. " Hiro chimed in as an afterthought. However his sentence wasn't heard due to Genocide Jill suddenly collapsing.
"H-how long w-was I out f-for?" Her voice was nervous and jumpy, and her behaviors had changed. She wasn't as confident anymore.
"Oh Toko! Your back!" Komaru happily greeted her friend again, "She stayed around wayyy too long but clearly your back so it's all fine again!"
Toko Fukawa did not seem comported by that thought, "W-weren't we ch-chasing after that big g-guy? Wh-what did s-she do to th- them?"
Aoi looked over at Juzo's still form, "I think he's dead. But I'm not sure."
Toko glares at Aoi. "C-can't you at l-least ch-check for a pulse or a s-something? Y-you're almost as u-useless as m-me!"
"I am not useless! I just... don't want to touch a dead body..." Aoi retorted, glancing back at the still man and shuddering slightly.
"Oooohhh you d-don't want to t-touch it, h-huh? What? D-does it arouse y-you? G-god your s-so creepy!"
"It- you- I do not!" Aoi's face was slowly reddening like a tomato.
"Wh-why so de-defensive all o-of a sudden? H-huh? I b-bet I'm right- I bet- " but Toko's ranting was cut off by the sound of footsteps briskly approaching.
They all looked around. Komaru, Makoto and Aoi looked up and grabbed anything that could be used as a potential weapon or distraction.
Toko giggled slightly as she looked around the corner and murmured "Th-There aren't any w-weapons necessary... m-master has returned at long last!"
