Oh my God. That did not just happen. I did not just have a sneezing fit in front of Nick Fury. It's bad enough when it happens at a friend's house or at school--but with Nick Fury?! Oh my God, I might just die of extreme mortification. My whole face still itches so much.
"I'm so so sorry Mr. Fury! I tried so hard not to sneeze." I say pathetically, brushing through my hair and looking down in embarrassment.
"No, Peter! I'm sorry! Here, have a tissue." Fury says handing me a box of tissues. "You know what, let's have this meeting another time, OK? I'll call your Aunt May to come to pick you up and to bring something for your allergies."
"Hetschoo! HATCHOO!"
I inwardly groan. Now not only is Nick Fury going to know, but Aunt May is going to know about my allergic reaction too. How embarrassing. I literally don't think I could be more embarrassed than at this precise moment. I sigh. Well, he's already calling her so there's nothing I can do anymore.
I shyly take a tissue and blow my nose as quietly as I can and wipe the tears from my eyes. By the time I sort myself out, Fury's done speaking with Aunt May.
"She's already halfway here, Peter. Again, I'm so sorry, this is all my fault. Don't blame yourself for any of this OK?" He tells me.
I just sit there nodding.
"Oh, and bless you." Fury says with a smile.
