Fury hasn't even continued for more than 20 seconds before the tickle comes back stronger than ever. I don't have anywhere to hide for this one.
Oh no, my breath is hitching again. My nostrils are flaring. I need to sneeze so desperately. I try to look for a solution but I can't find one in time. I turn to my right side away from Fury with my elbow up.
"Heh huh HA- Tchoo! Heh- Tschoo!" I bury my face into the crook of my elbow.
"Bless you. Bless you." Fury says calmly after each sneeze. His professional gaze and manner remained unchanged.
"Thank you, s-sorry." I stutter. I can't see it, but I bet my face is turning as red as my nose with humiliation.
"Are you cold, kid? Hang on, let me just turn off the AC."
"No, no, it's fine." I try aimlessly, but Fury stands up before I can protest. As he stands up, Goose the cat jumps to the floor. I pray that it will leave the room, but alas, it doesn't.
My whole face is so itchy. His back is turned so I take the opportunity to rub at my eyes and my itchy face. Suddenly I feel more sneezes coming on. I inhale sharply and pinch my nose shut trying to silence these sneezes before Fury gets back.
"Huh-HA-ngxt! Heh-HUH-NGXT! HAH-ngxt-SHOO!" Damn it! That last one was too powerful, I couldn't stifle it.
Fury had heard me. "Bless you. Don't pinch your nose like that, boy. It's a bad habit--holding them in is dangerous. Just let them out." He came back to sit across from me. "It was a bit cold in here--sorry about that. I've turned off the AC now."
"HATCHHOO!" I sneeze desperately into my elbow again. "Sorry, thank you." He's already seen me, there's no point to hide them anymore.
"Bless you. There's nothing to apologize for. My, aren't you sneezy though!" Fury jokingly says, chuckling.
