******************************
Callies's prospective
******************************My school bus lets my out at the corner of my street. My nerves are a little jumpy. On the way home we had seen, these things attacking people. We had heard screams. The bus drivers been going along dropping kids off acting like nothing's wrong. We all know that their is something very very very wrong. Luckily for me I'm having a few friends over for a party. So I wasn't alone.
A voice startles me out of my thoughts, "C-c-c-Callie," I turn to Scarlet, her eyes are wide staring terrified at my house, "Y-Y-Your F-front doors R-r-Riped O-O-O-Open" she squeaks hiding behind Ivan.
I stare wide-eyed at the door.
"It's gone." Hayden's hand on my shoulder shakes me out of my thoughts.
"Lets go in, Ivan you and Me in the front." He steps forward, turning to the rest of the group he says, "be careful."
He steps forward into my house. No longer a suitable home, for me or Charlie.
I pause, no one knows who Charlie is, my little sister. I forgot to tell her I had people coming over.
I hear a scream and a growl. Then silence.
I jolt forward, "HAYDEN, IVAN!"
I hear a call back, "We are ok no one get any closer."
"Screw not getting any closer" I mumble, pushing past Tina and Leah, "Its my darn house!" I feel a hand touch my arm but I don't stop.
I walk right in, moving towards The sound. Arms crossed. They are by the back door.
Hayden's eyes go wide, "Callie no!"
It's too late. I see them.
My eyes go wide, my heart drops. My whole body freezes. My parents are mangled and dead. Silent tears fall down my face. But it's not them that triggers my tears.
"Please tell me that's not Charlie," I whisper under my breath, so no one can hear me.
Hayden speaks up. "Callie I'm sorry." He looks to Ivan unsure of What to say.
Ivan answers my unasked question,
"The thing that got them is on the grass. A umm man, I think. Whatever it is It's dead, I put I knife in the skull."
I instantly go to check my phone, forgetting I let my mother borrow it. I huff, I can't get a hold of Charlie. I rush into the house.
I check the time near the stove,
2:45.
The rest of my group pile in to my kitchen. I hear the gasps. The sobs. The silent tears.
The question in everyone's minds gets asked,
"What the heck is happening?"
"I don't know, " I look to the picture on the wall of me and Charlie over the summer. She's taller then me by 6 inches, even though I'm 3 years older. I feel tears prickling my eyes again. I quickly wipe them away.
"Callie, who's that?" Scarlet points at Charlie.
I don't know how to respond. Tell them and get questioned or lie and wait until she's their to protect me from the questions. Lie Callie.
"Family friend." I walk towards the door.
"Can we go now? Please." My voice breaks and I hate myself for sounding so weak.
I walk out the door, not looking back. One thought on my mind.
Find Charlie, she's all you have left.
