Chapter 7

Nick's POV

I had Isabella in my arms and I was upset for her. She seemed so small and fragile. Like if someone brushed past her she might crumble. I hugged her tighter every time she whimpered in her sleep. She needs to be protected and if Liam can't I will. Bella started writhing in my arms and started to cry. My heart broke at the sight of her being in pain.

"Bella, wake up. Please don't cry I'm right here with you. You're safe." I said lightly shaking her and my voice as low for her to hear.

"Bella, please don't cry. I want to see you smile." She looked up and I poked her cheeks and spread a smile myself.

"Ha ha ha thanks Nick.” she giggled.

"Anytime I'm here all day." I said earning a chuckle.

"Nick I'm hungry but come with me." She dragged me out of her room and into the kitchen.

Bella's POV

I can't help but smile at Nick. It's contagious. He got me to laugh when I didn't want to. So we headed to the kitchen for dinner since it's 6 pm now.

"Nicky, what do you want?" I asked

"When did my name become Nicky?"

"Since I want it to be and you didn't answer."

"Okay Isabelly I want Mac 'n Cheese."

"I don't like my new nick name." I pouted.

"Don't you start pouting." He touched my lip with his finger.

"Do you want Mac 'n Cheese?" he asked.

"That's gross that you did that but yeah I want Mac 'n Cheese." I got the stuff out and started to make it.

"Hey what's the ringing?" I listened and heard it was my cell so I picked it up.

"Hey Mom what's up?" She said she wasn't coming home.

"What? How long are you going to be gone?" she replied a while.

"What do you mean a while? Where are you going?" She didn't know and she said it was for work.

"Mom, I'm going to miss you." She said the same then ended the call.

"What's up?" Nick asked and I told him what my mom just said to me. And I walked over for a hug.

We finished making the Mac 'n Cheese and ate it. We cleaned up after.

"So what are we going to do now?" I asked.

"Bella, we need to find Liam even if you don't want to." He said still holding me.

"I know but I need you to help."

"I will don't worry."

"I’ll try calling him." I took at my cell and dialed it and put it on speaker. He picked up.

"Hey Belle thank goodness you're okay." Liam seemed relieved.

"I'm fine. Where are you?" I asked worriedly.

"I'm on a bridge's edge."

"Liam what are you doing there? Come home, I have to tell you something."

"First I have to do something then I will." He was hiding something.

"What are you doing Liam?" I was nervous.

"Belle you know what I'm doing. I'm doing it so I can feel what you felt." My heart froze.

"Bye Belle." he said and by the wind you can tell he jumped.
