I know I have written a few angsty stories lately but I love them so i'm here to give you another one. Remember I don't own PJO or HoO Rick Riordan does. This takes place just as Percy and Annabeth are about to leave Tartarus.

~3rd POV~

(This part is from the actual book House of Hades. Bob is the one telling them to go) "Go," he ordered. "I will hold the button."

Percy gawked at him. "Bob, you're in no condition-"

"Percy." Annabeth's voice threatened to break. She hated herself for letting Bob do this, but she knew it was the only way. "We have to"

"We can't just leave them!"

"You must, friend." Bob clapped Percy on the arm, nearly knocking him over. "I can still press a button. And I have a good cat to guard me." Small Bob the sabertooth growled in agreement.

(This is where the actual book stops and now it's me writing)

Bob pushed Percy towards the door. Annabeth was already inside, holding the doors open for Percy. "You must hold the doors closed as they will resist your presence" Bob informed them, "Please friends, tell the sun and the stars hello for m-" Monsters swarmed the Titan, taking him away from the doors and back into battle. Before Annabeth could stop him, Percy was gone, outside the doors and making his way to the button.

"PERCY NO!" Annabeth screamed, "COME BACK!"

Percy gave her a sad smile and pressed down on the button. The last thing she heard before the doors closed was her boyfriend. "I love you Wise Girl."

The 12 minutes seemed like years. Annabeth knew that she had to make it to the top. For Percy. But it was so hard. She couldn't help but sob uncontrollably on the way up. When the doors finally opened, she couldn't help but collapse just outside of them and cry.

~Hazel's POV~ (Imagine they defeated Clytius but Percy wasn't there)

Clytius was gone. A pile of ash on the floor. The rest of the seven had arrived, and Hecate had left. I feel strong arms wrap around me, and I wince. "Hazel are you okay!?" Frank asked. You could see the worry etched into his face.

"Y-yeah I'm fine just a broken rib or two" I responded happily, "Nothing we can't fix."

Frank sighed obviously relieved. Everyone was Happy. We had closed the Doors of Death, we had gotten rid of Clytius and Pasiphaë, and we had Percy and Annabeth back. Percy. I whipped my head around, looking at where I thought Percy and Annabeth were. There was just Annabeth. Where was Percy? My heart dropped, and I let out a strangled sob. Percy never came out of the doors of death.

"Hazel whats wrong?" I didn't respond to Frank's question. The rest of the seven looked over to where Annabeth was sobbing. Piper let out a gasp.

"Annabeth." Jason was slowly walking towards her. His voice was soft, as if he was talking to a wild animal that could lash out at any moment. "Where is he?" Annabeth didn't move. She didn't look up. She just stayed there, sobbing. Piper came forward.

"Annabeth. Where is Percy?" Her voice was layered with charmspeak. I almost wanted to start listing every place I had ever seen Percy. I held my tongue (Not literally haha). Lifting her head, Annabeth opened her mouth to speak. Her voice was rough and dry, as if she had been screaming.

"H-he stayed back" She sobbed. "He stayed back to hold the button"

It seemed a layer of sadness filled the room. It was Jason who spoke up first.

"Let's get out of here." His voice was quiet and there was a hint of regret which laced his words. "He would still wan't us to try and defeat Gaea"

~Percy's POV~

Three weeks had past since the day Annabeth escaped Tartarus. Or thats how long it seemed to have been. When the 12 minutes of holding the button down had passed, Percy escaped. Damasen and Bob were gone. He watched as the were turned to dust. He wanted to help but there was no way to. He had to hold the button. Now Percy wandered around Tartarus. Avoiding monsters at all costs. He knew that Gaea had lost. He knew that he had won. He didn't care. He just wanted to leave. To escape this dreadful place. And so he searched. Everyday. He looked for any way out but found none. He frequently visited the shrine to Hermes. It was his only source of food for the time being. He was on his way from it. Walking along the shore of the Phlegethon. His eyes wandered to the rocks beside him. There. There is was. That symbol. The one from the Labyrinth. But it was destroyed... Did someone rebuild it? It didn't matter. Percy let his fingers trace around the symbol. It glowed blue. The cliff side parted, showing a simple passage way into the maze. This was it, his way out. Smiling, Percy wandered into the maze. Only one this on his mind. Annabeth. He was coming home.

~Time skippppp~

Percy had no clue how long he had been in the maze. It had to be months. Maybe 6. He spent his time in there, counting. Seconds. Minutes. Hours. He knew he was losing his sanity. He was going crazy. His thoughts were becoming jumbled. Random thoughts kept jumping into his head. He was mumbling, his eyes wild and his skin pale. He had to get out. He had to get home.

~Time skipppppp again~

It had been a few more months and he couldn't think straight. His mumbling became louder, his laughing more constant. Eventually he made it out though. He found an exit. There had been a light at the end of the path, and when he finally made it into the real world he was ecstatic. He wandered around for a few days, until he came across something he recognized. A bronze dragon.

~Leo's POV~

It had been about a year since the war. Leo had spent that year finding Ogygia, and traveling around the world with Calypso. Eventually though it was time to go home. After about a day of flying, to Leo's annoyance, they had to make a pitstop. On that pitstop though, Leo did not expect to come back from the bathroom to see Calypso healing an almost dead looking Percy.

(The POV is now first person)

"P-Percy?" I managed to stutter out. He was dead wasn't he? Shouldn't he be dead? Shouldn't I be dead? At his name, Percy's head shot up. What I saw startled me. His skin was pale, his hair long and shaggy, but what scared me the most was that lost look in his eyes. He looked at me and then went back to mumbling things about rocks and triangles. I looked to Calypso and she came running towards me, nothing but worry clouding her gaze.

"I found him wandering around." She whispered. "He was talking to Festus, but he wasn't making any sense. Just counting and laughing." I looked back to where Percy was sitting, wearing some of my clothes. He was laughing to himself.

"He said something about the Labyrinth." Calypso continued.

"That must have been how he escaped Tartarus." I mumbled, "The months of walking around in there must have driven him crazy." I looked back at Calypso. "We have to get him back to Camp Half-Blood"
