The Garden of Souls (11)

The week had gone by like nothing. Chaos ensued but honestly the nations were used to it. However this time when they woke up the house was nowhere near as chaotic as the week or even day prior.

The home was somewhat quiet , most of the states 12 and under were somewhere scattered around hallways or in their rooms. The littler states were playing with Ivan in the living room. There was no sign of the busy bodied American or some of the older states.

"Where did they arr go?" Kiku asked as he looked around, Rhode island peered around the corner of the kitchen when he heard the voice.

"Oh! Y-you guys are up..." He sheepishly said before answering the question. "Something came up so dad took some of the oldest hunting. There are some donuts on the counter if you're hungry. I thought penny was up there getting you all up to tell you-"

The boy couldn't finish his sentence as a loud splash rang out. Turning to the source, the nations saw some sort of patch of grass and plants.

It was simplistic with a small pond and a few flowers along with a large tree that loomed over most of the area. The thing that caught most people's attention was the almost unnatural blue that each plant held. It was a dull turqoise almost but was stunning none the less.

That's when they noticed Penny in the pond with a smile.

"6 Points Minimum! That one was good!" She yelled up at someone above.

"Nuh uh! No way that is anymore than 5. You've got to do better!" A female voice argued.

Penny just huffed and got out, dusting herself off. She was in a lifeguard like red onepiece swimsuit. Making her way to the door she noticed the nations watching.

Once she got through the door she smirked at them.

"Like the garden? Or were you impressed by my jump?" She asked as she scanned the area for the other awesome albino.

"How'd jou jump from zhe second floor? I haven't seen any balconies." Germany asked making the state smirk more.

"Kesesesese- I Used zhe Yeet door of course!"

"The what?!" Arthur asked worriedly.

"There is a door on the second and third floor for states to jump into the pond. Alex put them in after a certain Somebody kept creating holes in the walls to jump through. We collectively call it the yeet door." Riley answered for them.

"Yeah well at least i have fun squirt." Penny jabbed causing Riley to turn red and start cussing her out. A small handful of nations went out into the garden to double check and sure enough there was two doors, one on the second and one on the third floor.

The second floor door was open showing a girl who looked about 14. She had red hair and blue eyes along with a green one peice swimsuit that had tree silhouettes on it.

"Heya! Wanna join the jump?" She said backing up before running forward and jumping out, flipping as she fell before landing in the deep pond.

Once she got out she simply smiled. "Olivia, or Oregon if you'd rather." She smiled as she saw Penny drag Gilbirt to the stair case.

Olivia giggled and watched the unique koi swim happily in the depths of the pond. There were small jewels lodged in the tree roots and throughout the small body of water. She smiled softly at the thought of what each of those gems represented.

Kiku noticed her look and decided to ask about it.

"Excuse me Miss Orivia, But what is so unique about this Place? I've never seen anything remotely crose to this..."

"You mean they didn't even bother telling you of the Garden of Souls before you came out here?" Massachusetts voice sounded out from the ground doorway.

"What do you mean?" Japan asked worried.

"This garden is filled with souls from the D.C Area. The tree is a Suka Tree. We have forests of these tree's at each of our state houses. This one is the oldest, each seed came from this tree. "

"Ve~ Why does it-a collect Souls?" Feliciano had been watching several states line up to see Prussia jump and he had been just as excited to see it.

"It acts as a way to send them to the afterlife, Anyone it allows to crystalize are people who will be remembered by the people for generations. They belong to heros, Presidents, and even historical figures. These crystals don't contain the actual souls just the memories and morals. There are some really beautiful crystals in the pond."

The nations nodded. The eeriness of the garden finally seeping into their minds.

Peace fell upon the household, everyone was relaxed and doing their own thing.

Then the Penny's Phone rang, causing the calm atmosphere to still.

"Heya dad! What can we do for you-" She seemed to stop in her tracks as Alfred told her something. Her blood red eyes widened in fear alerting her nearby siblings. Her tone turned fearful and serious.

"On it. We will be ready." She then hung up before getting out of the chair and moving to the Intercom they had in the house.

"Emergency Family Meeting in the Main Living room. Hurry."
The ground rumbled as the children began to make their way their. It didn't matter what they were doing, if there was an emergency family meeting then something was wrong. Once every nation and state was present, except those who were with Alfred out 'hunting', Penny spoke up.

"Dad called. We need to prepare for an attack.
So. Let's get to it, Here's the plan."
