In this world filled with people, we strive to be perfect. Money controls us, looks are everything, and time consumes life. Sometimes we forget we're all human. We find the biggest flaws in everyone and hold each against each other forgetting that no one's perfect.
Brooklyn wrote in her journal.

In this world, we judge. But at the same time we want to be loved. We don't want enemies, we want everyone to agree and see the things we see. But the truth is everyone is different and we see things through different perspectives. In the end we want everyone to love each other in spite of our differences. But really, we just need to respect each other because we're different.
They say the world is a stage and we're all just actors putting on a show. The world is a stage and I'm in the audience.
She finished her thoughts.

"Now boarding: flight 298, New York City."
She took a deep breath.
"C'mon! C'mon B! Das us. We gotta go befor dey sit on our chairs!!" Brooklyn's younger sister, Colleen, said as they sat at a bench in the airport.
"Ok, ok. Ready?"
She looked up at her big sister in annoyance.
"Doy. Das why I sed c'mon."
Brooklyn packed away her journal into her carry-on bag. Her journal was silver with a picture of a rose in the center. Silver's her favorite color, and roses are her favorite kind of flower.
She stood up and started to walk towards the entrance of the plane as she said
"C'mon, sassy pants."
"HEY!" Colleen said as she got up.
"Im wearin a skirt. You kno ah dont liek pants!" She complained as she followed Brooklyn.
She didn't like how they covered her legs. She felt "consihpated".

It was December 18th, a week before Christmas. It was cold in Florida so she knew it would be even colder in New York. She packed everything anyway so needing heavy clothing wasn't a problem.
"Alrighty, we are ready for lift off. Please buckle your seatbelts as we explain to you our safety rules. Thank you for choosing American Airlines."
"EEE! I luv dis part! Las time da lady sanged how to do it." Said Colleen.

"Good evening everyone, I'm Stacy. I will be showing you how to have a safe and enjoyable flight. Any questions before I start?"
Colleen raised her hand.
"Yes, sweetheart?"
"Ar you gon sing?" She asked her.
"No, I'm sorry. I will be talking while demonstrating."
"Buh da other lady sanged it.. member B? Didnt she sanged?" She asked looking up at Brooklyn.
"I'm sorry sweetie. Now, any other questions?"
Colleen raised her hand again.
"Yes?"
"Can I sing da song?" She asked.
"Maybe later, ok sweetheart? Now, if you all take a look at the seat in front of you there will be a pouch with these three things I have in my hands. The first..." The flight attendant said before going on.

"Poopy lady. I wanna hear da fly song." Colleen complained.
"Here. We have the kids bop version. You can listen to that one on my iPod." Brooklyn handed Colleen her iPod with the headphones attached.
She put them on.
"Das da, way EE you.. buck-ckle uh-UP! you gotta get it..." Colleen sang.

I don't know why I was writing about life before. I guess I just have to remind myself that. Today was our last time with our dad. He's had a tough time dealing with our mom passing away.. we all have. Colly's finally back to normal, the good old lovable little sister. Her name is Colleen but she likes to be called "Colly" ever since mom passed away. I guess she wanted to become a new person.. or just that she randomly wanted a nickname. I told her that wasn't a real nickname but she insisted we called her that. It's pretty weird, but it works... for her at least.
Brooklyn wrote in her journal.

She likes to call me B. I told her my nickname is Brooke, but of course, she insisted she called me B. It's been almost a year now since my mother passed away. It was a horrible day. Too horrible to think about now. My dad had become an alcoholic and just went down a dark path. We had to leave him finally.. he hurt Colly. The judges made the decision final and now our grandmother, Nona, has legal custody of us. Well, of my sister. I just turned 19, graduated a couple months ago. So now we're on our way to New York where she lives.
She wrote as she realized how fast the time flew, or how slow she took gathering her thoughts.
It's a good thing... but still is a change. We lost our mom and now our dad. But now we get to see our grandma, who we never see. So I guess you could say with every bad thing comes something good.
