Part I: Dark.
It was a dark place. Brooke could barely see a thing. It seemed even darker than before.
Suddenly, she saw two candles light up before her. She saw Colly there with her. Her vision was still a little unfocused, but she saw.
They walked to the living room with the light guiding their way. She felt like she was seeing through someone else's perspective, like when she saw through the eyes of the little girl at the hospital. When they got to the living room, Brooke quickly heard the sound of glass breaking. The noise echoed in her mind.
She saw Dan walking through the broken glass. She was so angry, she wanted to push him back out and off the edge of the balcony.. but she couldn't move; she could only see.
Dan walked up to her. He was going to kill her with a large knife when Brooke began to feel in control of her body again. She could feel her body tense up. She felt power, she felt strength. She took his arm and dragged his entire body down. The knife fell out of his hand as he fell. Brooke picked it up and held it out towards him. He got up and held a piece of broken glass to her neck. He saw into her eyes. He looked like he saw evil.. suddenly, she couldn't feel anymore.
Brooke saw David, Scott, and Colly crowded in the corner. She ran to them throwing a knife before they split up. The knife stuck into the wall. She didn't do that.. she didn't feel that.
Brooke then ran to Dan, grabbing a hammer from the table, and forcing it into each of his eyes and then into his forehead. She didn't feel that either. The only thing she could feel was the blood splashing on her face, but that was all. She couldn't feel what she was doing. Emotionally, she felt anger and relief after he died. Dan fell to the ground as Brooke stood and watched him bleed.
She felt her body again. She was aware of her control but she still couldn't move... she was in shock.
She lost control of her body as she turned to run towards Scott and Colly at the corner of the room. Before she reached them, she felt a strong force hit the back of her head. She fell to the ground as everything began to darken again. She fell into a deep sleep."She's got to be here somewhere.. have you looked around?" Joan asked Sam who stood in shock of Dan's dead body, and the disappearance of Brooke.
"No, I'm scared to..." Sam confessed.
"C'mon sweetie, we'll look together." Joan took Sam's hand as they walked into the darkness with a candle.
They walked slowly, checking each room for any sign of her. There was no one in sight. The sound of their footsteps was all they could hear. Suddenly, a noise came from one room they've already passed. It was quick. They both looked back, then at each other. They stood there and waited as silence quickly filled the air.
Bzzzzzz
Sam jumped as she felt her phone vibrate. Scott was calling from her apartment's phone.
"Hello, you scared the hell out of me."
"Sam? Is everything ok?" Scott asked over the phone.
"Yeah, I'm still at Brooke's. Are you guys ok?"
"Yeah. Colly's sleeping in your room. How's Brooke doing?"
"She's not here.. I'm here with Joan, we can't find her. Are you sure she was here?" Sam asked looking at Joan.
"Yeah, she was lying right there in the living room. I don't think she'd just get up and start walking somewhere." Scott said as Joan and Sam heard the front door tear off the wall. They looked on the floor and saw blooded footprints leaving a trail from one of the rooms to outside of the apartment.
"Oh God" Sam said.
"What happened?" Scott asked over the phone.
"She was here this whole time., she just now left... Where is she going?" Sam asked Scott and Joan.Pitch black. That's all she saw before remembering where she was and what was happening. She felt her body begin to get up. She could barely keep focus. She saw the small light of the candles light up parts of the apartment. She was in one of the guest rooms. She still wasn't in control of her body. She saw a light getting closer as she ran to the corner of the room. Once it passed, she walked quickly to the door and tore it open as it broke off. She saw the door fly off the wall as it broke into pieces. She walked to the elevator. Once she made it to the empty lobby, she walked outside. She kept walking through the snow covered streets of New York barefooted. She left a trail of blood behind her in the snow as she still wasn't in control of her body. She felt trapped somewhere within. The more she tried to control it, the more she felt something trapping her. She had to let it control her, she had no choice. She felt weaker after every time she was in control.
She made it to Sam's place. She wasn't familiar with the building at first, but then she remembered Sam lived there. She walked into it and took the elevator to the top floor where Sam's room was. She opened the front door, as it was unlocked, and entered.
