Wall Rose - Utgard Castle
Your PoVWe had regrouped with what was left of the front line Scouts who were already at the castle. When we arrived we didn't expect a swarm of Titans trying to reach out towards whoever was left on that now collapsed tower. It was utter chaos and we were lucky enough to arrive right on time. It took us the rest of the night to make it to the castle and as soon as we arrived we were immediately instructed to engage in battle. Eren eagerly took this as an opportunity to finally get his first Titan kill in human form but instantly got his wires tangled up afterwards, ruining his moment. In the end we were left with the rubble of the once standing abandoned castle and the discovery that a fellow comrade and friend was also a Titan Shifter. Christa, who held Yimr close, stayed by her side.
Once the area was clear of Titans we all officially regrouped at the top of Wall Rose, bringing up the injured using stretchers and helping out the others who didn't have ODM gear to get up. Everyone was busy tending to the injured, checking the cannons and the ammunition left, providing suitable gear for everyone and everything else in between. Christa was trying to convince Section Commander Hange that Yimr wasn't a threat to humanity and was in fact an ally. I was nearby, helping to unload the supplies and weapons we had brought which was still being brought up to the top of the wall.
"You said your real name was... Historia Reiss, correct?"
I almost tripped over myself when I heard those words, that name.
'"Reiss"? So does she know? Could she really be the one to provide everyone answers? Is she linked to what happened to father that day?'
"Yes, that's right." Christa— Historia timidly answered, following along with Hange.
"Reiss, as in that noble family?" The two paused in their steps while I continued to walk past them with a crate of medical supplies in hand.
"Yes," was her simple reply. Hange just nodded in understanding, storing that crucial piece of information somewhere in her mind space. I had just walked past them and felt a pair of eyes digging into the back of my head. I instinctively knew it was Hange who most likely recalled the family name I had mentioned hours ago with Pastor Nick. I continued on without showing any signs that I had overheard their conversation, bringing the medical supplies over to the makeshift field hospital and regrouping with the others.
Eren and Mikasa were crouched by the edge of the wall, helping Armin and Reiner up. Bert stood nearby waiting for the others so I took this as my chance to talk to him.
"Long time no see Bert." I casually waved at him with a small smile and successfully gained his attention. He gave me a sheepish smile and returned a small wave.
Bert was a lot like Armin, Marco too. The three of them were practically known as the 'intellectual trio' and preformed exceptionally well when memorising formation layouts, recalling current known Titan information and knew everything to do with how the gear and weapons work back at the training camp. If there was some form of malfunction with your gear any of those three could sniff it out and fix it, easy. It was second nature to them. Plus, the trio also have a common personality type as being easily approachable yet somewhat drawn back from the crowd. I guess I've always appreciated the time I've spent with the quieter people due to living with my obnoxiously loud brother for a long while. I'm surprised his loudness hasn't rubbed off on Mikasa as much as it did to me. However that was before any of this Titan Shifter nonsense. It was before Marco died, before Armin began theorising about the nature of Titans, before Bertholdt was officially classed as a potential traitor who worked alongside Annie and Reiner.
