Chapter 1: Reconnecting

-- In this introductory chapter you will be a little uninvolved as this chapter is introducing how you get to the hotel in the first place. The second chapter and onwards will involve you!

"Thanks again Dad for doing this. I know I've asked a lot of you today." Mavis smiles hugging her father tightly.

"You're my cute little tarantula! I would do anything for you. I know you need time with Johnny so taking Tinkles out for a walk with Denisovich is the least I can do for you." Dracula replies hugging his daughter back before picking up Dennis from the floor next to Mavis.

"Yay time with Papa Drac!" Dennis giggles holding his hands up in the air as he's lifted to Dracs shoulders. Both Drac and mavis giggle as Mavis hooks tinkles lead around his collar.

"Do you remember the route we take dad?" Mavis asks handing him the lead.

Drac smiles and holds the lead in one hand, hanging onto Dennis with the other. He looks at Mavis before saying "This isn't the first time I've taken Tinkles on a walk. I think I got it."

"Alright, be safe okay Dad and take care of Dennis I want him back by midnight!" She says pointing to Drac with a slightly serious tone. Then she heads behind her father and kisses Dennis on the cheek, "Mommy loves you, honey, Have fun!" With that Drac leaves with Denis and tinkles trying to hold the excited puppy back from slobbering and crushing every monster in his path.

Mavis watches her father leave chucking as she watches him get dragged away by the very bouncy and energetic Tinkles. Once out of sight, Mavis heads up to her room where she finds Johnny looking through some book. She's never seen him read in all the years she's known him, "What are you doing honey?"

Johnny turns to his wife and smiles, "Oh hey honey, I'm just looking through this book I found in my backpack."

"What's it about?" She asks sitting next to him on the couch hugging his arm as she looks at the book on his lap.

"It's a book I made as a child of all the friends I had over the years. I put the day I met them and how long I've been friends with them next to their photo." He replies flipping through each page observing each photo he sees.

Mavis smiles and looks through them saying who looks pretty, two looks cute and whos name is cool until Johnny suddenly stops on a random page and stares at a particular photo, "What's wrong dear?" she asks looking at him confused.

"This photo... That Y/N she was my best friend in Highschool, but we lost connection after college... she was the one who inspired me to become a DJ. She was a great gal, and I wish I could see her again." He sighs putting his hand next to a picture of him and a girl standing side by side. They were wearing similar outfits with best friend bracelets on. The girl he was with had very long hair that went all the way down to her but part of her hair covered her left eye whilst her other was crystal green. She had pale skin and distinctly feminine fetchers. She maintained such a gentle face and looks so sweet with her smile.

Mavis smiles and pulls out Johnny's phone from his pocket giving it to him, "Well why not find her? I'm certain she has social media. Just find her and invite her to the hotel!"

Johnny smiles brightly and hugs his wife, "Thanks, honey! I'm gonna do that right now!"

"I'll go pick a movie for us to watch while you find your friend!" She gets up and heads over to the shelf of movies they have. As she looks through after around 5 minutes, Johnny yells that he found her causing Mavis to come and sit with him again. "Did you msg her?

He nods and shows her the msg before realizing that shes saw it. He gets thrilled as Y/N starts typing. Once her msg is sent he reads it allowed, "I'd love to see you again Johnny! Thanks for providing me the directions to your hotel, I can't wait to meet your wife Mavis, and your son Dennis. I'll arrive tomorrow afternoon! See you soon." With that Mavis and Johnny started Date night full of excitement and anticipation for his childhood friend's arrival.
