Here I was again, standing in front of Cody's home. It was empty and the wind blew through my honey brown hair. The whole street was empty. I looked around as I tried to find somebody. "Hello?" I call out, but there was no answer. "Hello?" I call again. "Kylie," I hear a young familiar voice. I quickly turn behind me and see Cody standing there.

"Cody?" I question, walking toward him. He smiles at me and holds me in his arms. "I missed you." He whispers, never letting me go. I can hear his faint heartbeat. "I missed you but I have to go," He adds, letting go of me as he steps away slowly.

"Where are you going?" I ask, trying to chase after him. He keeps moving away until I no longer could get him. "Cody?!"

My eyes popped open to the sound of thunder and the heavy rain hitting the window. I looked at the plain white stained ceiling for a while just trying to process my dream. I let out a heavy sigh and looked toward Lex's bunk. She's on her phone and then looks toward me. "You alright girl?" She asks. "Seems like you were having bad dreams."

I sit up in bed and check my phone. I had texts from Cody. As I open my phone, I read the messages that Cody had sent. "Yeah I had a bad dream and I need to talk to you Lex." Her eyes widened and she gave me a reassuring nod. I jumped out of bed to grab clothes to get ready for the day.

After taking an hour of getting ready, Lex and I met at the coffee shop on the main campus. "What did you want to talk about?" she immediately questions, her eyes full of curiosity as she takes a sip of her latte. I looked at her, rolling my eyes. "Of course, all you want to know if my burning tea Lex, I can't believe you." I groan, crossing my arms.

"Oh my God Kylie, shut the hell up," she rolls her eyes, taking another sip of her coffee. "Tell me, what happened..."

I started giggling like crazy, hiding my face under my right hand. "I just want to know what I'm doing? Is this a dream?" I sighed and drank my coffee, feeling the warm liquid flow through my body. I looked at her and hoped that she would give me some sort of great advice.

Lex smiled and looked back at me. "No, you're not in a dream Ky..."

I nodded. "Well I mean of course everyone saw me kiss him yesterday. We drove up to the hills at the spot that you found. We just talked for a long time and stuff. Then he came and dropped me off at the dorm and... we're going out tonight... on a date."

Lex's jaw dropped and her devious smile grew. "You're going out with Cody tonight?! I can't believe it, it's finally happening! I've always known that one day you guys would get together!"

I looked at her surprised, my eyes widened and my jaw dropped. "You what?!"

I can see her devious smile grow big and she lets out a loud laugh. "I knew it! Since high school. Look let me tell you, he was dating Sabrina but for some reason he was always at your game, when you got injured he was always at the hospital. He gave you probably the best gift out of the group for senior night and I am sure as hell he will be there at your college graduation!"

She was right, he was there for absolutely everything and I was there for him. I wanted to do that again since he was only about an hour away from me. I let out a sigh and drank a huge gulp of my coffee.

I looked at myself in the dirty dorm mirror. My honey brown hair draped over my shoulders, my olive green eyes popped with the eyelashes that Lex picked and the dress hugged my curves, but it was appropriate for date night. "You look absolutely gorgeous!" Lex compliments, looking at me from all angles. I continued to stare at my reflection in the mirror. This isn't a dream.

"You sure the dress doesn't look... slutty?" I question, looking at her through the mirror. The one sleeve red dress was gorgeous. It wasn't too long or two short and my hair covered the bare shoulder. Lex gave me a reassuring smile and helped me put on the finishing touch... my grandmother's necklace.

"No, Ky it doesn't. You said he wanted you to dress nice and so you are!" She smiles, gently coating my hair with spray. She placed my lipstick and some pepper spray in the golden clutch. "Just in case," she winks.

Cody 💙: I'm here. I'm really sorry I can't go in to your room.

"He's here," I nervously tell her. She holds my hand and reminds me that everything was going to be okay. Lex and I then proceed to walk out of our dorm room. "I'll walk you to the door, but you're on your own from there."

I give her a nod as we walk down the stairs to the main entrance of the building. I can see the silhouette of his black sedan. "Okay, I'm ready." Lex gives me a big hug and a motherly smile as she watches me exit. "Good luck," I hear her say before the door shuts behind me.

Cody exited the vehicle and walked over to the passenger side. His smile grows as I get near him. "Sheesh Ky, you look... damn... you look gorgeous!" He compliments, planting a kiss on my nude glossed lips. I looked at him before I sat in the passenger side. He shut the door behind me and walked over to the driver side.

"This isn't a dream," I whispered to myself before he entered the car. "You ready?" He questions with a smile, placing his veiny right hand on my thigh. I took a deep breath and let it out, giving him a nod. "Yes, I'm ready and I'm so excited!"

He drives away from the ugly dorm building and soon we were finally off campus. "How has school been going?" Cody questions, removing the hand on my thigh and placing it on the steering wheel. I give him a smile and look down at my manicured hands. "School has been great actually. I mean, I have to kick ass or I won't be on the team." I stayed silent for a while and waited for him to say something.

"That's good, you've always been great in school Ky! I'm happy to see you doing so good!"

I grin at him and grab his veiny hand. "How's the whole baseball thing going?"

The way he smiled and the way he suddenly had the sparkle in his eyes. I knew that this was something he enjoyed doing. He glances at me and then back at the road. "It's been great, you have to go to Rancho to my game!"

"Like high school, I can paint my face?" I ask him, giggling and laying my head on his shoulder for a short amount of time.

"Yes, do that! Just be there please!"

I give him reassuring nod as we pull into a fancy restaurant. Shit.
