The next morning came quickly and Summer arose to a loud crash coming from outside. With a violent jolt, she jumped out of bed and it took her more than minute to remember where she was.
She sighed and walked to the dresser, flopping onto the chair in front of it and staring at her reflection in the mirror when a knock came from the door, startling her again.
She unlocked the door and Meghan stood there with a beautiful smile on her face.
"Morning sunshine" she greeted cheerily and Summer gave her a hug before letting her in.
"I guess you were so bushed from the journey yesterday, you fell asleep before dinner time"
"Yea,I was out like a switch"
"Well, breakfast is ready. Join us when you've had a bath and I know you've got plans for where you wanna visit but please let me take you out to fun places too" She said,a loved up puppy smile on her face.
"Ok I'd love that" Summer nodded and Meghan glided out of the room excitedly.
Summer bolted the door again and checked her bag for clothes.
She hadn't brought anything else but the Jean jumpsuit she'd worn yesterday and was still wearing,a pair of black jeans and yellow sweater.
Her shoes were shabby black sandals and another white converse shoes that she'd barely ever worn.
She sighed and went into the bathroom to take a bath. It was a plain white one with the necessary amenities and nothing more but there was hot water so it wasn't all that basic.
She took a quick bath, hunger pangs already seizing her insides and dressed up,brushing her ginger curls into a top bun.
She was about to leave for breakfast when she decided to put everything she needed into the dresser drawers and hide her money behind the dresser.
"Just incase they get too curious about me"
She allowed herself to check the money and realized each wad was $1,000 each.
"$100,000?!" She gasped and tears filled her eyes again.
There was a loud knock on the door followed by the knob twisting.
Panicked,Summer threw the money back into the bag and hid it back behind the dresser, keeping a wad for future use.
"A minute..." she called before straightening up and opening the door.
"Hey" Deon smiled at her and she let him in with the tray in his hands.
"You missed breakfast"
"I didn't know I'd taken that long to get ready"
"We wake up early over here.." he strode to the window and drew back the curtains.
"See?"
"The streets are bustling already"
Summer smiled and sat down to eat.
"Join me?" She asked politely and Deon nodded.
"I already ate but for you,I'd stuff this in as well"
Summer blushed,her eyes holding his.
