Char's POV

Bernard's face registered shock as he recognized me.

"Baby" He moaned affectionately and reached for me.

"I'm dead bro, I can see through you" I sneered and his expression gave way to fear.

"I'm gonna kill you in the most gruesome way ever" I threatened and he pleaded noisily.

"Char I'm sorry... I didn't mean to kill you.. I loved you. You know I did"

"So much that you denied me access to the hospital" I fingered the knife on the counter and he groaned in pain from his broken arm.

"I was scared baby.. That you would give me away.. I'm sorry"

"You brought a cat powder ghost bane and confined the old undeads into the basement which was a relief actually but then you tethered me to this fucking house and I can't leave. I didn't have the chance to leave with my family. You ruined my life!" I hurled the knife at him and it struck him on the head, sticking limply out if his forehead. It wasn't a hard aim so it was just a flesh wound.

" Char!! "He screamed, peeing his pants and I screeched in laughter at the sight.

" Awwwwn.. Don't be a cry baby. Mommy won't be proud of her little boy, will she? "I jeered and removed the knife, earning another unearthly scream from him.

" Charlotte please!!"he begged, sobbing like a child.

" Time to die Bernard "I muttered and suddenly felt my body contort, making me fall to the ground.

I jerked roughly and gripped my heart tight. It hurt like the night I was murdered.

It was Summer.

She was trying to reclaim her body.

Summer's POV

I glitched for the last time and then got to my feet. I looked at Deon and tears rolled down his cheeks.

"Help me Summer!" I whirled round at the sound of Mark's voice and I ran out of the kitchen.

"Come back Summer, it's not Mark" Deon shouted but I didn't listen.

Who was he to talk? Like he could be trusted.

I ran up the stairs leading to my room and on the landing, an arm grabbed me.

"Mark!" I yelped excitedly.

His mouth came crashing down on me, his grip like steel.

I felt warm liquid flow from his mouth into mine and I gurgled.

Blood!

His lips fell in shredded decaying bits into my mouth and I hit him in the crotch, outrageously disgusted.

I tumbled down the stairs and retched!

"Char!" I yelled and Deon yelled back.

"Summer stop! You don't know what you're doing"

I did!

Out of all the undeads, only Char wasn't hurting me.

She had tried to look out for me countless times and Deon deserved what he was about to get.

When she had zoned me out earlier, I had seen the vision of when she was murdered but I couldn't stand the pain that came with the Stab and I came back.

Now I wanted her to repossess me. I wanted to end this.

She was the only one who could kill the other undeads and free the house from being haunted.

"Char!" I screamed again and felt the sensation all over again and this time, I was ready.

Char's POV

After repossessing my little sister again, I saw flashes of the misery she had had to go through and I almost cringed. Dad and Mom hadn't been able to protect her too.

I dragged into the basement, my hands burning from the cat powder ghost bane he had on him and the lights came back on.

The three undead stood defiantly and stared hungrily at Bernard.

I knew they couldn't smell the powder on him, they were close to fading and all they could perceive at the point was the blood running in his veins.

They weren't just dead, they were the undead. Eating Bernard would make them vulnerable and at the slightest ray of sunlight, they would fade.
Removing them completely from this world alongside Bernard.

"Guess this is goodbye Bernard. Rest in pieces darling" I grinned and glided out of the basement.

As I went back upstairs to draw open the large curtains in the house, I could hear loud screams and desperate banging coming from the basement.

Pulling the curtains back, the entire house washed abright with sunlight and I sat back under a direct ray expecting to fade too since I had touched the ghost bane on Bernard.

I felt a whining feeling take over me and I closed my eyes.

A heavy thud and I opened them. Summer was seated right in front of me and she was holding my hand.

I could feel her hand. It was so soft and young.,the way I remembered myself.

Only anger or compassion could make a ghost feel and right now, I wasn't angry.

It was Summer. She didn't want me to leave.

I wasn't tethered to the house anymore.

I was tethered to her!
