"Pangit ba ako?"
"Oo."
"Kapalit-palit ba ako?"
"Oo."
"Then why?! Bakit mo ako mahal?!" Naiiyak ko na sabi sa aking nobyo na si Letus. Magiisang taon na kami at ngayon lamang akong naglakas loob na itanong sakaniya yun.
Ngumiti siya at lumapit sakin. Hinawakan niya ang aking kaliwang pisngi at hinalikan ang aking noo.
"Dahil... Mahal kita." A tear left my right eye. Im so lucky. So lucky to have him as my boyfriend.
He isn't just my boyfriend, he is also my bestfriend, my father, my light. He is my everything.
"I love you Letus.'' I whisper.
''I love you Annika.'' He answer and he kiss my lips.
I smiled bitterly. A lonely tears left my left eye and look at him, in front of me. His smiling so widely. He looks so happy.
I wanted to cry out loud. But I cant.. i have no right to.
"Do you Myra Sanchez take Letus Freo as your husband?" As father ask my cousin, our gaze met. I smiled at him before mouthing an 'I do'.
His eyebrows met. Maybe confuse why i said that to him but i just smile and let myself cry.
The moment he said I do to my cousin, i know i lost. Oh no. The moment he left me alone that day, i know i lost. I lost him. I lost mylife.
I cant help but to be jealous to Myra. That should be me saying I do to him. That should be me.
A week after our anniversary he was hit by a car and lost all of his memories. I wasn't able to visit him because his parents keep everything from me. I just know it when i receive an invitation. An invitation of their wedding.
I close my eyes and lastly whisper the last two words, as a sign of letting him go. 'I do.'
