THE MOON
I am Christian Kailer Lim, Im half filipino and half American, of course im handsome, everybody is inlove with me. Every girls wants me. Every gays look after me and every boys hates me. Well... i cant blame them with this kind of face? Everyone will be jealous.
I am 18 years of age and i am taking a course of engineering. Im a team captain of the basketball team of our school. Every girl will do everything just to get my attention, and one of them so irritating. She's ugly, she wore this big black round glasses is in her eyes, she has this baggy clothes and a backpack, her hair is always frizzy and ugly. Yeah she is ugly.
She's always waiting for me before and after school, she always walk with me and talk a lot of times. She always baked or cooked me something to eat during lunch and snacks time. She really look like a mother taking care of her child and its pissing me off. Like wtf! Cant she just leave me alone?
We were currently eating in the cafeteria and when i notice that my squad became quiet i exhaled loudly and put my spoon and fork down. I lost my appetite. She's here again. "HEY! Kailer! I brought you food! Gosh i cant wait to see your reaction if you-"
"Cant you just stop pestering me Annika?! Your damn annoying! And your food taste awful!" I immediately snap! She look so shock and scared. I saw how tears fall from her eyes to her chubby cheeks but she still manage to smile. "C-cant you try atleast one?" She nervously said.
I stand up and pick up my bag. "I gotta go." I only said and left the cafeteria. I am still pissed! She keeps on giving me foods that i dont like! I dont like her! She's gross! She's ugly!
I pulled out my cigarette as i lean in the wall. I am in my secret place where i can freely smoke since no one knows this place except me.... or not.
"KAI! Dont smoke! Thats bad for your health!" She suddenly said out of nowhere and pulled the cigarettes in my hand and throw it away. I glared at her. "How dare you! You have no right to do that! You are nothing to me so stop acting like my girlfriend!" I angrily said so she just bow her head. "I-im s-sorry... im just concern about you."
I just rolled my eyes and left her! Damn i need to find another place and make sure that she wont find it again! So i skip my afternoon classes just to find my perfect secret place.
"Hey kailer!" Someone shouted from my back so i quickly turn around. I smiled when i saw her. She's Kristina, She's pretty. She's rich. She's sexy. She's perfect. I like her. "HEY Kris." I said and wait her and we walk together in our class.
Months pass by and we became really close until we decided to be in a relationship. Until I realize that Annika is not bothering me anymore i just shrugged it of cause i dont really care anyway. She's not my lost.
I was walking in the campus and i saw Annika out of nowhere i decided to follow her cause i dunno my feet just suddenly walk. I saw her walking to my secret place that only me and Kristine knows. What is she doing there?
"Tina... leave him alone please." I heard her said thats makes my blood boils. What the fuck is she saying?! "Why would i do that? Ohhh. Right i knew already. Your jealous arent you?" Tina said while raising an eyebrow. I saw how she glared at my girl. No one is aloud to do that!
"Stop it Tina! I know the truth! I know that your just-" "Enough with your bullshits annika! Stop spreading lies!" I angrily said and pulled Kristina away from her. Before i turn around i saw how her years flow down like a waterfalls from her eyes that makes me stunned. I dont know why but... i feel pain. It's the first time i saw her crying and i feel a little guilty.
I was walking outside the campus when i suddenly saw her. Wtf is her problem again? She look at me and smiled sweetly, but her eyes... it looks so tired. But i dont care. "HEY Kailer... i wann say sorry earlier. Im sorry for what i said I-" "Stop saying sorry i dont care anyway." I only said and left her alone. Its getting dark but she is still here well as if i care.
"Happy anniversary Tina.."i said and kiss her lips but she avoided me. I look at her, confuse and she smiled. "Happy anniversary Kai... lets end this. This is just a dare. Thank you for helping me. I have a new condo now. Wanna hang out there?" My jaw drop as i heard what she... she's not fckng kidding me arent she? "W-what?" I ask a bit confuse. "I dont really love you i just did that for a dare cause-" I didnt let her finish and leave her alone.
She's just fckng what?! It was just a fckng dare?! I walk and walk as i reach the playground. I sat in one of the swings there and let my tears flow. Until suddenly someone offered a handkerchief. I look up and saw her... she was always there whenever i needed someone the most. But something is wrong... she doesnt look like her.
Wearing an off shoulder white crop top and a high waisted short shorts and a make up in her face, Annika sits in another swing in front of me. I look at her. She's not smiling. Is she really the Annika i know?
"Stop looking at me and wipe your tears idiot." She said fiercely. Her voice doesnt sound like her. But i still did what she said... She's somehow terrifying.
"Im not Annika." She suddenly blurted out. My eyes went wide open and look at her confuse. This day is really confusing. "What do you mean?" I ask. She glared at me before standing me. She sign me to follow her so i did. We walk and i dont know where. "If your not Annika.. then who are you?" I ask since i cant take the silence anymore. "And where the fuck are you bringing me?" I added. She let out a deep sigh and face me.
"I am Annaliese. I am Annika's Twin sister. I am from America since my father brought me there when he and mom separated. And i just got home last month..." she said and sigh... "Im bringing you to her." She only said and walk faster.
I continue to follow her since i am curious to where she is. I havent seen her for almost a month or two now. Our last talk was in the school where i left her all alone. We enter the place i never expected to enter. Maybe they visited someone who died thats why we are here.
She brought me in front of the grave of someone i didnt expect to see. My eyes and mouth went wide as i saw her there. She's wearing her beautiful smile again while wearing a beautiful red dress. She's holding her long wavy hair and she's not wearing a glasses anymore. She's so pretty.
"That's Annika's last picture." She said while crying. I look at the picture frame again and look at the grave.

"Why?" I ask confuse as i look at her. Tears started to pooled in the corner of my eyes. I still can't accept it. Why?
"The Moment you left her from that school that day, some drunken men passed her and of course saw her... she was raped. She was comatosed for a month and then.. suddenly mom called me last month... she's already dead."
I fall down in my kneew as i heard the reason why. I-its my fault. Why crying silently she hold my shoulder and smiled slightly. "Mom said before she lost her breath... she whispered to her that we should not blame you. That you dont know anything. And that we shouldn't tell you. But i cant! I want you to know how bastard you are! Your not the only one who lost my sister. We... we also lost an angel! And its all because of you!" She said and slapped me before leaving me there alone.
I sat down as i look up. I didnt notice it.. its already night. I saw the moon and its shining so bright. suddenly i remember her smile. Her laugh. The twinkle in her eyes everytime she talk. Her voice. Her cry. Her tears.
Im too late... im too late to realize that i am inlove with her. They are right: i lost my moon while I'm counting the stars.
