"greetings to his royal highness" earl yietz said with a deep bow.

The king looking down on him from the throne with an indifferent eyes but had a smile on his lips.  "how is his highness doing" earl yietz asked with a sly smile.

The king despite noticing this still smiles "well I've been doing well since the rebels head have been rolling on my feet" the young king says with a laugh his golden eyes menacing despite having an innocent looking smile on his face. Earl yietz face paled.

Earl yietz could only tremble in silence
"if you will excuse me" he says in a low voice scurrying off to hide his embarrassment.

The current king Alexander Rodger, was young, that is why people had his doubts in him specially the aristocrats who had hoped he was a naive brat that was easy to sway and control.

The king sighed leaning back on his throne-- that was the fifth person he had scared away this evening, being king was no easy job. After his father's death he had to clean the nobility who supported the past king and the crown prince.

Having to deal with the kingdoms affairs and to keep greedy and disgusting nobles who only care about fattening their stomachs in check. At least one threat was eliminated and that was the rebels who had planned to take down the current king and replace him with a new king they have chosen, a puppet that they could control so that they could pocket the money and live a luxurious life.

The king looked around. his eyes roaming around the huge ball room decorated with gold and flowers was
filled with nobles and merchants covered in either lace or gems.

Despite the extravagant ball the star of the show was nowhere to be seen. The king frowned failing to see Grand Duke Zeon Grey Coventry who had just recently arrived Victorious from war.

While lost in thought marquis rosemond had approached the king greeting him "long live the king of evimeria and may it continue to prosper" he said bowing ,his hands on his chest out of respect.

"marquis rosemond" the king greeted happily although in reality he utterly despised the marquise rosemond.

"it's good to see you in health your majesty" the marquis smiled his eyes squinting "the same to you"

"your majesty has no plans to marry yet?" the marquise smiled bringing up the matter if marriage to the king.

The king frowned. He had already expected what the marquis would soon say.

The king inwardly sighed.

"ah yes im afraid there are still alot more issues about the kingdom that i have yet to focus on before marriage" he smiled giving an excuse, although he really just doesn't want to marry a daughter of any aristocrat who plans to sell their Daughter to him.

"well if i may-" the marquise smiled taking the opportunity to introduce his daughter, not being able to take the hint that the king just didn't want to speak of marriage.

he extended his hands towards a young girl with black hair and slender figure she was no doubt a beauty but the thought of wedding a daughter of an aristocrat who wish to climb the social ladder by selling off his daughter, his own flesh and blood made the king sick to his stomach.

Just like how they sold off their daughters and sons to the past king.

"my daughter, angelika" he said proudly introducing his daughter to the king, despite the kings distaste he continued to smile "its nice to meet you lady angelika"

Lady angelika blushed, charmed by the young kings enchanting smile. She Fluttered her eyelash seductively while smiling "it's good to finally meet you your highness" with a graceful bow.
