CHAPTER 3

Jaey and janella was at the ball, arms Linked together. they were supposed to greet the king and offer their regards to the duke but jaey caught a glimpse of them entering the balcony while Janella separated to greet her friends from other families.

On the other side of the hall was the daughter of Earl benedict; linda mayhem, who caught sight of jaey.

It wasn't that hard to look for the Mishka's because of their distinct golden hair, only the family of Mishka had that distinct eye catching color.

"Jaey~" linda called out approaching him while she grabbed a glass of red wine on the way.

"lady linda. " Jaey greeted with a smile, linda smiled, her eyes glistening playfully. Lady linda was a very close friend of the twins mostly because she completely adored jaey who although a man was far more prettier than most ladies in the kingdom, of course excluding her.

Linda glared at some nobles who whispered behind jaey. Truly beauty came with pain. She sighed.

Jaey's charm and beauty came from his sickness, not being able to use a sword like other men of the kingdom and having to stay indoors was the sole reason he lacked muscles. That is why most noble men thought of Jaey as a disgrace to all men. But the ladies of course loved jaey.

"Jaey dear why don't i take you away and live with me" she said licking her lips playfully, Linda was a lady in her 20's who got along well with the mishka's that is also why she knew of Jaey's circumstances.

She was still unmarried and still no engaged which was odd for a beautiful lady like her. There were rumours that she had a hidden relationship but was never revealed who it was.

Jaey laughed, aware of the whispers behind his back "that would be improper of me, besides i plan on being a farmer out in the country side" jaey said jokingly.

"oh that wont do, you'd be too far away from me then" lady linda placed her hand on her cheek in a joking manner.

"lady may i have this dance with you?" jaey asked holding out his hand when the soft music from the band began to play in which lady Linda whole heartedly took.

Watching lady linda and Jaey dance together looked mismatched. While dancing the focus would usually fall on the lady but with Jaey it was the opposite. 

Jaey felt a heavy pair of eyes looking at him, he knew because he was always stared at but somehow this pair of eyes felt different.

As soon as the song finished Jaey excused himself from lady linda his head throbed and he felt the tiramisu janella had forced down his throat made its way back up.

He staggered towards the balcony that was the furthest. in the corner of his eyes he signaled to albert who panicked at the sight of his master and ran off to get his medicine. Breathing was suddenly a struggle to him and was panting. he entered the balcony and drew the curtain.

Maybe it was because of the stress of thingking about his future since there was only a month until Janella inherited the title of Viscountess.

Jaey leaned his body on the railings barely keeping his body up, suddenly he was seeing two, he staggered backwards away from the railings it would be bad if he fell from the balcony.

It wasn't a sure death if he fell he might break some bones or even paralyze his leg or arm  and that would make him even more sick and he wouldn't be able to accept that.

At first it was two now there were four and his vision blurred even more, his breathing became hitched.
Where in the world was Albert.

Just as jaey was about to collapse and hit the floor someone caught him-though he couldn't clearly see who it was but the only person that would be concerned about his well-being were either Janella, lady linda or albert.
