Stuck in the rain || Oikawa Tooru ☁️💫

Y/n sat at a table near the window as she waited for her boyfriend. They were going to have a date at a local cafe and just catch up. It's been a while since they last met since Y/n was busy with school and Oikawa was starting to look for jobs.

Y/n's eyes scanned around the cafe. Her boyfriend was no where to be seen at all. She sighed and stared outside the window. Y/n admired how beautiful the sky was. It was cloudless and vibrant. She thought of all the fun activities she could do with her boyfriend once he arrived.

Suddenly, she felt two large hands cover her eyes. She heard a familiar voice whisper next to her ear, "Guess who~"

Y/n stood up and gave Oikawa a bear hug. Ahh, it's been too long since they last met! She missed him so much and finally, he could meet this cutie!

Oikawa lovingly gazed at her, "Sorry Y/n-chan! I had to do something along the way but stay here. I'll buy the drinks okay? What do you want? Iced americano? A frappuccino?"

Y/n chuckled, "Tooru calm down haha! I'll have ( favourite drink ) please!" "Sorry Y/n, I couldn't help it! You are just too cute!" Oikawa sighed. Oikawa quickly bought their drinks while Y/n waited for him patiently. She couldn't help but to stare at the man, like damn! He is so hot!

Tooru walked back and placed the drinks on the table. "So Y/n what have you been up to lately?" Tooru asks. "Ahh I'm having mid-years right now. But I think I'm doing well haha!" Y/n replied. The two had a mini catch-up so they could make up for lost time. It was super sweet and the two lovers were having fun together.

"Hey Y/n, how about we walk around since its still pretty early?" Tooru suggested. Y/n nodded enthusiastically and smiled. Oikawa stood up and offered his hand to her. "Wow Tooru, so romantic eh~" Y/n teased.

"Y/n are you going to take my hand or no-"

"Hahaha I could-"

"I'll leave you here Y/n"

"WAIT OH MY GOD I WAS JUST KIDDING TOORU"

~ mini time skip as to when Y/n and Oikawa leave the cafe ~

"So Y/n~ where do you wanna go?" Tooru asked. "Hmm I can't think of anywhere so... why not we just walk around and see where we end up at?" Y/n suggested. The two walked together hand in hand and strolled around. They had no idea as to where they would end up at but that was fine. As long as they were together it didn't matter.

Suddenly the sky was getting darker and there was the sound of thunder. "Tooru it's going to rain. Should we go to a nearby shop or something?" Y/n asked. Tooru shook his head, "Y/n it's fine I have an umbrella with me and plus, my apartment is near so you could totally crash there," Tooru wiggled his eyebrows and teased, "we could totally share an umbrella together. We would look so cute! :>"

Y/n internally face palmed herself. Oh god, so cheesey! But it's her boyfriend so she couldn't complain. Y/n leaned against his shoulder and said, "whatever you say cutie. But if I get sick I'm totally blaming you."

"Y/n you are so mean to me!" Tooru pouted.

"Am not~"

"Y/n I'm not sharing the umbrelly when it rains so apologise or I'll leave you wet."

"Tooru you love me too much to do that."

"Yeah you're right but you still hurt my feewings."

"Okok I'm sorry for being a meanie sweetie."

Oikawa threw his arms around her waist and pulled her into a tight hug, "AWW Y/N-CHAN YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE!"

And alas, it rained heavily. The two panicked as Tooru struggled to open up the umbrella. He took five minutes to figure out how to open the umbrella. That meant the two of them were drenched. Y/n sighed, "Tooru sweetie I love you with all my heart but how did you-" "Y/n we don't talk about that. No bad vibes under the umbrella."

Y/n chuckled, "Tooru you are too cute."

"I know right!"

"Baby I-"

"Shh Y/n, we both know you will never be as pretty as me-"

"Tooru I will yeet you out-"

"I'm sorry Y/n-chan-"

Y/n giggled and placed a kiss on his cheek. "Yeah yeah, it's all good flattykawa."

Oikawa's eyes widened, "Y/n~ you are so mean~"

The two dorks continued to tease each other unconditionally. Oikawa noticed that Y/n's shoulder was getting wet so he tilted the umbrella towards her side. Y/n's heart melted when she saw this and sneakily kissed his cheek and thanked him.

"Ne Tooru, as annoying as you are, I would rather be stuck in the rain with you and you only." Oikawa looked at the small girl next to him and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "Y/n chan~ I'd rather be stuck with you for the rest of my life."

"Tooru you are so mushy."

"Only to you~"

"I hope it stays that way forever."

Tooru kissed her on the lips and whispered, "Oh it will."

Y/n gripped his hand tighter and smiled. Maybe they couldn't do anything under the rain but, it wasn't so bad afterall. Afterall, there was no one else she'd rather be stuck with.
