A/n: angsty for Suna, kinda fluffy for Y/n!

It was the end of the school day and Y/n was going to meet up with her one and only, Ushijima Wakatoshi.

Ah! He's such a cutie! She met him by chance through a mutual friend and things have been going extremely smoothly since.

As she waited at the school gate to meet her dearly beloved, Suna couldn't help but to see the girl's enthusiasm to meet her special someone. How he dreaded the fact that she had someone. He could've been that someone.

A huge figure seemed to tower over him as he mumbled to himself softly, "where's Y/n..."

Hm, it's the infamous Ushijima Wakatoshi. Y/n's knight in shining armour. Suna rolled his eyes at the sight of the couple and how lovey-dovey they are. "Blek..." Suna felt sick internally. How could people be so intimate in public? That's gross.

Truth be told, they weren't doing anything nasty like kissing. They were just holding hands. But that was enough to make Suna feel outraged and jealous.

How he wished that could be him. That could've easily been him! If only he didn't say those things! Ugh! The bitter taste of his past words lingered on his tongue as he guiltily looked down on the floor as he walked off.

He could easily imagine him having Y/n wrapped around his arms and not Wakatoshi's. Y/n could've been his... and his only.

Way to screw it up Suna... he rolled his eyes to divert his attention away and walked home.

As for Y/n, she was having the time of her life. She met someone that loves her dearly for who she is. She found someone that she could run to without a doubt.

She pulled the tall boy along as she brought him to a nearby cafe.

"Waka-chan, anything you want?" She asks with her usual sweet tone. The boy replied nonchalantly, "anything's good if you want to share."

Y/n's heart was set aflame, "aww, you're to cute for your own good Waka-chan!"

Unfortunately for Suna, he took this route home because he wanted to take a detour. In hopes of not seeing Y/n of course. How unlucky of him to see her and her boyfriend.

As he listened to her sweet compliments to her boyfriend, he dreaded Ushijima more and more. How he wished that he could be him for a second. To be showered by her love and attention unconditionally.

How he wished to eat from the spoon she was feeding Ushijma from. How he wished that he could see the girl everyday after school. How he wished he could just be him...

He bit the inside of his cheek harshly, making it bleed. This is what he deserved... afterall, he was the one who made the girl resent him. This was his karma then.

All he could do was watch them from afar and wish "if only".

As he walked away with tears threatening to spill out of his eyes, he could only mumble under his breath, "if only..."
