The Skiff

—(Y/n) POV—

I had to leave here once and for all

I waited for Catra to fall into a deep sleep

I waited for three hours just to make sure she was sound asleep

I spent that time planning my escape

Well I spent the past few years doing it but this was official

I slowly and quietly got out of bed

I lift my right leg up and slowly use my arms to push myself up

I look at Catra who's still sleeping

I make my body turn around so I'm up and sitting in the bed and I make sure my left leg doesn't hit anything

I cover my mouth so I don't yelp in pain

Luckily my staff was already extended and by my side and and crawl over to the drawer and take out the note and picture and take my pants off and put my old ones on and they still fit and I put the note and picture in my current pants

I slowly get up by getting on my right leg and using my staff to get me up

I wanted to write a note that said

"Thanks for wishing me good luck on leaving because I needed it"

But thats a bit too much and I need to leave right now

I put the staff on the ground lightly and I slowly walk over to the door

I put my right leg first and then I slowly lift the staff and gently place it on the ground and then I slightly jump over

'Right leg. Staff. Jump. Right leg. Staff. Jump. Right leg. Staff. Jump'

I repeat that a ton more times until I'm over at the door

I look at Catra who's still sleeping and I look at the door

'Please open'

I place my hand on the door and

It opens

I feel so much relief

I look at Catra one last time

Catra hurt me

So so badly

I need to leave now

I slowly hobble out and the door closes behind me and then I pick up the pace

I'm glad that almost everyone is at Salineas so no one could catch me

Since I was wearing my blue long sleeve shirt again

I ignore the pain

I repeat the same process over and over again but quicker and quicker

The fear of Catra catching me keeps me going

The fear of Catra hurting me again

It keeps me going

I eventually hobble to the vehicle room

I unfortunately see Kyle, Rogelio and Lonnie

Well I'm happy to see Kyle and Rogelio but not happy to see Lonnie

"Fuck" I whisper

"(Y/n)! Are you ok?" Kyle asks

"Kyle hey Kyle" I say nervously

"What are you doing out of uniform?" Lonnie asks

"Guys...Catra just beat me and Scorpia left-" I say
