Kongpob

Arthit wasn't coming back. It had been a full year since Arthit had left and Kongpob believed that Arthit would not come back. In fact, from what Kongpob had heard from Forth, Arthit had chosen to stay in Paris for an unknown period of time.

Kongpob kept trying to be happy for Arthit. He had promised Arthit that regardless of his choice he would be happy for him and not hold him against it. Three months had passed, since the very last time that Arthit had skyped with Yo. His son was heartbroken.

"Daddy always says he's busy..."  Kongpob had found himself that very night, sitting in his living room with a bottle of vodka and an empty glass. It was the first time in a year that he had wanted to drink. The last time had been right after Arthit had left.

Despite promising Arthit and himself that he would be strong. In that moment, he had wanted to drink his sorrows away. He had wanted to forget the pain he was feeling. He was angry at himself because being selfless meant that he needed to let go of the person he knew was the love of his life.

In the end, as he stared at that bottle of alcohol he had called his mother and she'd quickly come over. She'd taken the bottle away from him, that he had not taken a single drop off and thrown it in the sink. She then had sat beside him, took him in her arms, and he simply broke down.

Last night, had been similar to that. New Years was in a couple of days and to know that Arthit would not be there again, possibly forever. Made him want to rip out his heart because of the pain he was in.

He looked at the computer screen that was in front of him. He was supposed to be working on his latest case. He didn't have the mind for it today. Forth and he were working on a kidnapping case that involved a mother and her abusive husband. She had escaped with her children and the man had filed a kidnapping for their two kids. He was a very powerful man and she came from a humble background. The fight for the children's custody would not be an easy one.

Forth had been back for nine months, as had his father. From what Kongpob understood, Arthit had asked them to come back to Thailand as he wanted to live life independently. Kongpob had been proud of him. Despite the fact that he knew both Dusit and Forth would have most likely wanted to stay with Arthit, in the end, they chose to do what was best for Arthit because that was what he wanted to do.

Arthit had promised Kongpob that he would date. Kongpob had tried to prepare himself for when that time came. He had told himself that he had no right to feel a particular way about it. He had encouraged Arthit to do it. This way, Arthit would be sure that his feelings for him were real. Kongpob thought he would be okay with it, he had been following Arthit on IG, never once did he comment or like anything. Just like Arthit had followed him on IG. They kept to their promise of not contacting one another.

But that did not mean they did not silently checkup; at least, Kongpob did. That is when he was able to see Xia Yu Ping. He was a professional Pastry Chef that was living in Paris.
