Pikachu's POV

I was chucked into a glass cage, which floated in the air beside a man... a man I dreaded since the day I met him. Giovanni...

'Well Pikachu, I finally have you' Giovanni smirked; he knew I didn't have my beloved trainer anymore.

What was the point... I have given up, My Pika Pi is gone, he can't save me, no one can. Its over!

A tear trickled down my red cheek, what does my life mean anymore? I'm going to be used in experiments and evil deeds.

But one thing no one can take away from me! NOONE can take my love for this world, the Pokémon in it, and my innocence. I will not fight others. I will make sure no one destroys this world we live in. I will be the hero that save it, not the demon that's destroys it. I will do what's right for this world. I will prove myself, that me and Ash work as a team. As if we were the same person. I will save the world for Ash and the Pokémon!

Giovanni's got another thing coming for him.

'PIKACHU!' A girl's voice shouted from a distance. Suddenly a white sphere of light came out of the blackness surrounding me. Hitting the cage floating in the air. It knocked me off my feet. I landed on my back, but it did not break the cage.

The attack was then followed up with Flamethrower. Engulfing the cage around me.

'For goodness sakes... why is it not working' The voice said, 'I'll try this'

Suddenly a fox like Pokémon came zooming out of the darkness, its claws shining white as she scratched at the cage.

'Fen... Fennekin' I stuttered, an old friend stood in front of me. I thought she had died... and here she was in front of me. She was extremely skinny, she hasn't eaten in years. Her fur was dirty and matted. I know how much she hated being dirty. I felt sorry for her... I needed to help her.

The scratch pierced through the glass, allowing me to use iron tail to smash my way through.

I jumped out of the cage and stood next to Fennekin.

'Let's finish him' I said, Fennekin nodded.

I powered up my thunderbolt while she focused all her energy into her next move.

We aimed at our target, Giovanni. He deserved it.

I released my attack at the same time Fennekin did. Her flamethrower somehow mixed in with my thunderbolt. Giovanni didn't have time to react as the attack hit him, engulfing him in flames and thunder. He fell to the ground. No life was left in him. Only a burnt body lying on the floor.

The rest of the grunts fled. They were defeated. Fennekin collapsed on the floor, in exhaustion and starvation. 'FENNEKIN' I yelled as I rushed to her side.

Fennekin's breathing was rapid. If only Pika Pi was here, he would know what to do.

'Pikachu!' A man voice called from the bushes behind me.

'Pika Pi' I hoped, but unfortunately not, only the traitors from before ran out.

Brock quickly rushed to Fennekin's side. 'What happened?' Brock cried as he picked up the exhausted Pokémon.

'Pika Pikachu Pi Pika PiChu Pikkaaa' I said. Bonnie rushed over to Brock side.

'He said Fennekin collapsed and is in bad condition' Bonnie translated, as she petted the poor Pokémon. 'I know this Pokémon...' She muttered a tear formed in her eye.

'Serena...' She whispered under her breath. Her brother pulled her into a hug.

'At least we will still have a part of Ash and Serena with us' Clemont stated. He put his head down as he let his emotions come out.

'Yeah' They all said in unison.

I felt a wave of emotion hit me, tears swelled up in my eyes.

Why did I run off... I could never say goodbye to Ash, my Pika Pi... he's gone forever.

I put my head down in shame. 'Help..' Fennekin cried. I quickly ran over to her.

'It's okay Fennekin, Brock will help you' I cried, as I stroked her head.

Brock fed her an Oran Berry, to help her recover her strength, then he got out a Potion to heal her injuries.

I now knew that I wasn't alone in this world, I wasn't the only one that hadn't been able to say goodbye to their trainer/ best friend. I knew how she felt. Maybe she felt she was abandoned. How did she get away? Did she even know what happened to Serena?

'Let's let her rest' Brock announced but I ignored him. I stayed with her while the rest of them set up for lunch.

'You know Fennekin, your very brave!' I said with a smile. 'I've never met another Pokémon that is braver than you'

Fennekin smiled weakly at me 'Pikachu, you are the most bravest Pokémon I know, No one is braver than you and Ash!'

'Thank you' I said, but Fennekin didn't know how much I meant it!

'Where is Ash?' She asked, My heart began to race. I just felt sick... but I had to tell her sometime!

'Ash is... dead. He has been for a long time now!' I replied, I never counted Ash being alive, even though he was a spirit, it was only his soul, he was never really him.

Her face turned to shock. 'Same with Serena' So she does know.

'Yeah, I wish we could of saved her you know!' I replied, I still felt bad for that incident, although it really wasn't our fault.

'I never knew what happened to her... I only saw her dead... body' Fennekin cried, as she layed her head on the floor closing her eyes.

'Do you want me to tell you?' I gulped, as I placed my paw on her shoulder.

'Please... do!' she approved, while slowly sitting herself up.

'Okay' I took a deep breath before beginning.

After a while of telling her what happened I ended it with 'She let go of Ash's hand... she gave up because she knew she wouldn't survive this!' I concluded. Fennekin paw was over her mouth as her eyes were glazed over, as tears began to show. 'I'm sorry, it ended like that'

'It's not your fault' she affirmed, 'I only wish I could of said goodbye'

'Me too' I pulled her into a hug, as she cried on my shoulder.

'It's going to be okay! If we stick together, we will always be alright! Because we are a team. Ash taught me that!'
