I skated down the ramp and I hit the concrete my board cracked causing me to fall off my skateboard I looked and saw my elbow was scraped then my brother came running Gage: "you alright?" He said helping me up Y/n: "yeah" I said dusting myself off Gage: "damn this is your 3 board" Y/n: "yeah I know" Gage: "just be careful" Y/n: "I will, are you and Angel entering the contest?" Gage: "yeah" I looked and saw all the competitors getting ready Gage: "let's go practice" I nodded and we headed to another ramp joining Angel and her friends
Angel: "you guys ready?" Gage: "Y/n's still practicing" Angel: "you'll do okay you're second best skaters in town" Y/n: "whose the first one" Gage: "oh he just moved here, his name is Jack Avery"
Y/n: "well I'm about to take my number one place back" Gage: "go get em' tiger!" I grabbed my skateboard and did all my tricks it was down to me and a boy with brown curly hair with highlights Judge: "alright competitors this is the long round but it's a long one, you have to Ollie off the stairs and skate around the fountain and come back, the first one back is claimed the winner" ??: "may the best one win" he said holding his hand out Y/n: "ditto" I said shaking his hand, then they let us off once I landed my Ollie my board lost balance but I caught my balance and skated ahead of the boy and turned a sharp left and making my way back to beginning of the race, the boy was right behind me and once we got to the finish line the judges called it a tie
Judges: "congratulations winners, I know there would have been one winner but you both crossed the same time" he handed me the trophy Y/n: "you did really good, I think you should have this" I handed him the trophy ??: "I couldn't" Y/n: "I insist"
??: "okay then" and he held his hand out ??: "I'm Jack" Y/n: "oh you're the new skater kid, in that case I'm Y/n" I said shaking his hand Jack: "I've heard about your record, I bet I could beat you" he said with a smirk Y/n: "you're on Avery I said smirking back Jack: meet here tomorrow to settle?"
Y/n: "sure!" Then Gage and Angel came over
Gage:" congrats Y/N/N and you must be Jack
Jack: "yeah" Gage: "I'm Y/n's older brother and this is my girl Angel" Jack: "Nice to meet you both, I gotta go but I'll see you tomorrow Y/n" I waved and smiled as he waved back skating away I walked with my brother and Angel back to our house excited for the next day to come
