( Narrator's POV )

Deep inside of the Swirling Swamp, Silver searched for his home. He had been walking for hours and was getting exhausted. They say that those who enter, never come back out. Silver looked to the sky and saw that it was getting late.

"Well isn't that reassuring. I didn't even have time to pack myself some dinner for the ni- ", before he could finish, the ground gave way underneath him.

( Silver's POV )

I fell from my current position and feared for my life. Flashes of people from the village came into my mind. Torch, My mother, the chief who may or may not be dead.
All of this ended with me landing in a large body of water. "Oh thank goodness! For a second there, I thought I was done for........ ", Hang on, water?

And in this blue of a color in the middle of the swamplands? That's when I realized it was glowing. "Okay. That's new. ", I said stepping out of the strange fluids. I looked around the area and found out that I was in a cave of some sort. That's when I saw the only things in here with me, were a large blue egg with white spots on it and a mysterious blue gemstone on top of it.

It was dark blue in coloration, with a really deep blue water symbol in the center of it. I walked over to the gemstone and it gave me the strange urge to put it on my wrist. After putting it on, I turned to face the egg, and the stone began to glow. "Hmmm....... I wonder if I should ", I thought as I touched the egg.

When I did so, a sudden feeling of coolness went through me, as well as a sudden calmness and peace. It was at that moment that the egg got a crack in it. I instinctively took my hand off of the egg. "Okay so now I'm confused. Is it hatching or did I break it? ". My question was soon answered with another crack. One more crack, and the egg burst into a cloud of steam.

In it's place was a baby Fierce Water Nargacuga. Now normally in a situation like this, your first instinct would be ' kill on sight '. But right now I was too captivated by it's cuteness. "Awwww, " I said not taking my eyes off it. "Aren't you adorable! Now what am going to name you? ", I said as I scratched it underneath the chin. The bonding moment ended when the earth shook, and the cave started to collapse.

I grabbed the baby as fast as I could, and ran to what could possibly be an exit. What I saw when I got outside frightened the hatchling as much as it did me.

( Narrator's POV )

In the middle of the island was a dormant volcano. Purple and black clouds gathered at the top as purple magma spewed out of the sides. Flames rained down onto the ground below as darkness spread throughout the land.

Back on the ground below, Silver looked and the hatchling looked back at what was once there home. They were heading towards the Diamond Dock's. It was named after it's sparkling waters. Little did the two know, an old friend and his monstie would be joining them.

When they got there, the hatchling instantly jumped into the boat as Silver instinctively untied the boat and were off just as the darkness reached the water. Unknown to them on the opposite side of the island, Torch and a baby Flame King Rathalos sailed of.

Meanwhile with Silver and the Fierce Water he named Blue, everything was silent as they sailed into the great beyond. "Well Blue, ", he said as the young Nargacuga jumped on to his lap, "the adventure begins. ".
